Type R is back. A demon of a racecar, built for the road. And we’re giving you the chance to win one.
Think you can handle it?
That is the message and challenge posted on the King of the Hell website, where Honda announces a competition to win a new Honda Civic Type R. The fastest driver in...
We've had another close-up encounter with the 2017 Honda Civic, catching a prototype in the throes of some hot-weather testing in the Southwestern U.S.
The latest prototype gives us our best, closest look yet at its front-grille treatment, which has two air-inlet slits cut in just above the...
The 2016 Civic Coupe was just caught testing at a track in Ohio.
As we have seen and heard, the car is wider and sports a lower, more aggressive look. LED headlamps are expected to be offered too, giving the front clip an Acura-esque look.
The sedan launches this Fall, with the coupe coming...
It looks like the Honda Civic's two-tiered dashboard design will finally become a thing of the past.
Here's a world's first look at much of the all-new car's dashboard design. We see a new cockpit configuration with Civic's gauge cluster now covered by a single, sculpted hood, flanked angular...
It looks like Honda's camouflage has been playing games on us. What was previously thought to be the 5-door hatchback prototype appears to be just another 2016 Civic sedan prototype as some members have speculated.
That's apparent as this newest variant has now been spotted, looking much more...
A new prototype has shown up on the U.S. Honda test circuit, and it looks like this may be the new U.S.-bound, UK-built 5-door Civic.
The latest prototype matches up with the prior Civic prototypes in its key dimensions--wheelbase, windshield, door handles, and hood line all overlay perfectly...
CivicX.com recently did some patent searching and came across these official patent images filed by Honda for both the 10th generation Civic Coupe and Sedan. These reveal in detail what the production models will look like. We did not find any images yet for the 5-door hatchback, which will...
What will the Type R cost in the U.S.? It starts at £29,995 with the GT version adding £2,300 to that amount. That translates to $44,750 and $3500 more for the GT version.
Think it will translate directly to US prices or how much more will the imported version cost?
Which hot hatches will the Type R be competing with? Off the top it seems like the new Focus ST is one of the competitors. The Type R should blow it away in horsepower hopefully (252 hp versus...306 hp)?
So what form will we (US) get the Type-R in? The 10th gen Civic is gonna be hatchback, coupe, or sedan and I know the Type-R currently exists in hatchback form but might we get it as something else?
I know it's iconic as a hatch but I'd love to have a coupe model personally.
You guys think there's going to be a limit on the Type R's they designate for the US market? That would suck 1) not everyone who wants one would be able to buy one and 2) that'll just drive the price up for all the ones that are allotted to the US :(
You may have seen the video of the development Type R vehicle going ape nuts around the Nurburgring but check out the list of awesome cars it was faster than:
10. Porsche Panamera Turbo
But the truth is that tie-games are awful; nobody likes them. That’s why we have overtime, shootouts and...
Here are the first photos of the 2016 Honda Civic Concept from NYIAS, where Honda also announced that the Type R will be coming to the US for the first time ever! Enjoy our photos below.
