2019s specs released, but not yet at dealers. no reason why 2019 wont have similar discounts by Jan19 since this gen is likely in its last year and more competition is coming from mazda3 and veloster n
Consumer reports isnt so hot on Honda anymore..... have a read, dated October 24, 2018...
Reliability ratings are cumulative, but reality is MK7 GTIs made from 2015-on have been very reliable. They did have 1st year model issues with Turbos going, some panels adhesive failing, and the leaking sunroof. GTI is made in Mexico while Golf R is all German made. Starting next year all...
MK8 production starts in 9 months (June 2019) with Car and Driver estimating US release late 2019.
I was hoping VW was going to present a prototype this week at the Paris Show, but guess going to way till Detroit (JAN19) or even NYC (APR19) for more details.
My wishlist for a type r. Grand touring version
Tuned for 90mph instead of 124mph.
I don't track, just want a enjoyable driving experience on a daily commuting level.
- replace rear wing with si wing
- remove rear fake vents
- 18 or 19" rims with 40 profiles is plenty. Pilot sports works
-...
With highly likely 2019 civic refresh, CTR usually lags in getting updated which would lead to belief the there will be no 2019 CTR, but should come back as 2020 CTR as early as March 2019 (6 months into the 2019 model cycle)
Honda needs something between Si and CTR... dont care what you...
Honda missed the mark not having a small sedan/hatch between the Si and Type R.......
I ideally want something under 3000lbs, ~250HP, LSD, 6MT, 4/5 seater, adj dampers, and daily convince features while costing under 28K.
Right now, nothing meets my needs. But Veloster N looks promising...
The body style definitely reminds me of my old 1989 CRX Si, maybe that's why I dont mind the shape. Hyundai has a Press release for the Veloster N, provides some insight on details.

Thanks for the pix. Amazing damage there. I am not an expert but it looks like a manufacturing defective unit. As if the clutch was never disengaging sufficiently enough since it was purchased. It would take a lot of effort on the driver to cause that much damage so quickly. Since the...

I am considering the veloster N as well. Watched and read tons of European reviews for the sibling i30N and they loved it, I think one of the reviewers had an orgasm during the shooting. Europe market knows hot hatches and their some heavy competition there, in general they have the i30 N...
I've been doing car repairs for a while. Its either the brake caliper itself or brake line to it leaking brake fluid maybe 90% chance. The rest 10% chance its the drive axle boot, just dont see much fluid/grease on the underneath of the boot where it typically ends up. Check your brake...

"It seems that it will be reduced by 4,775 dollars,"
so about $30K... wonder if it will be part of the MMC refresh....
http://jalopnik.com/2017-hyundai-elantra-sport-the-jalopnik-review-1793927248 review of the Elantra was very positive.
The turbo-manual combo will get the Elantra Sport to 60 mph in a claimed 6.4 seconds.
Curb weight (lbs., M/T) is 3,042lbs on the Elantra, thats not that heavy nor slow...
25K??? no way!
I think Hyundai Elantra Sport with 201hp/195lbft is a better looking and more featured package. They're selling for $15K, just check cars.com inventories.
And the Elantra only requires 87 octane.
Same here.. Got tired of waiting and their not including features I want. Styling is okay for today, but its not the normal neutral old school Honda that will last the test of time, in few years it will remind you of a Juke.
Ended up buying a used 2008 Acura TL V6. Loving the styling...
The NY auto show in April is pretty much reserved for 2018 Accord Prototype (humored), based on last 2 Accord generations being revealed at the show.
So Feb - Si, March - CTR, April - Accord
sounds about right
