  1. Got rid of my touring coupe!

Did you price a Touring lately? It makes quite a case for a CPO luxury brand...
  2. Got rid of my touring coupe!

I definitely agree although the Europeans will bite you in the ass once out of warranty so plan on turning them in prior. If maintenance is not included as it is on the BMW be prepared. I traded a fully loaded A6 in on my Civic because the warning light du jour loses its charm quickly. At 4am...
  3. 2017 Civic Hatch Info/Brochure & Trim Info

I feel like the US gets the inferior version of the car. The US has been getting the dumbed-down version of the Civic for years. What we have is by no means bad but it lags FAR behind European versions in content, if no longer style. I do wish they would at least add proper blind-spot...
  4. Frequent tailgating

They were standard equipment on the Audi. The Jetta has rear fogs in Europe so I bought a set and retrofitted them. All oem and worked through the headlight switch just like the Audi.
  5. Frequent tailgating

I notice this all the time with the Civic. Sometimes I think the car is invisible. The rear fogs in my Audi were great for handling douchebags but they were far fewer in number than I am experiencing with the Honda. My Jetta got far more respect, but then again I had installed European market...
  6. 2017 Expectations for Civic Sedan/Coupe

I laugh every time I see a new Cruze because the shape reminds me so much of the Gen 9 Civic sedan...
  7. 2016 Civic with new Mods by Honda

Not crazy about the body kit but the least they could do is spell "visor" properly on the window sticker...
  8. Starting to have my doubts

So true. I traded-in my fully loaded A6 on a base model Civic coupe. People must have thought I was crazy but you have to live it to understand it. There is no question the Audi was a far nicer car but at least driving the Civic I don't feel like there is a knife poised and ready to stab me in...
  9. Starting to have my doubts

It's a crapshoot. Logic would have it the new design would be more prone to teething problems than an older model prior to a redesign. I remember using that logic once and opted for the "proven" older model. My reward? Learning how the lemon law process works. It can happen with any car in any...
  10. Replacing vinyl steering wheel with leather

College Hills Honda has an excellent video on replacing the 9th Gen Civic wheel with leather, if not exact it may be similar enough. The airbag bolts are not to be reused so make sure you get replacements.
  11. Civic Touring vs. Audi A3 2.0T owners review (w/ pics!)

Excellent write-up. Thanks. The comparison is not apples-to-oranges as it might seem. I really do like the new Civic a lot but in Touring trim it does begin to flirt with CPO A3's & A4's. Honda's pricing does offer a Civic for everyone though so my comment is not that the car is priced too high...
  12. Has anyone had the cloth interior in a Civic replaced with Leather?

I am not as confident as you are in the quality of Honda leather unless it has improved since my 06 Accord EX-L. I rarely wear denim but the driver's seat definitely showed discoloration, possibly from wearing a belt but I am not certain. It did stain and the bluish band across the seat back...
  13. First modified 2016 Civic Sedan - by Galpin Auto Sports

That looks fantastic! Especially the blacked out chrome grille... the look of the concept car can be achieved on the production Civic and it looks great even without the LED lights. I like the color too. And the wheels also look real good. Nice job.
  14. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Yeah, I appreciate that. Real excited about this car
  15. What did you do to your Civic today?!

I guess technically I did nothing to my Civic today but I did get first refusal on a Lunar Silver EX-T coupe when the dealer gets one
  16. Took delivery of Touring in Vancouver

Our salesman went through two windshields within a month on his CRV and since I put the Honda bug deflector on it there has not been an issue since 2010. No guarantee, but it does seem to have helped...
