Sorry, I'm mixing things up. It's the "compressor" that keeps breaking on me, supposedly. Honda is not having any extra warranty AFAIK on that.

This really sucks. It's like a given I'll have to pay$1500 a year to repair the same thing.

Yeah I paid. Didn't have much of a choice since it's been heating up here. It's surprising how nauseous you can get in warm weather and no AC.

"Fixed" it supposedly the first time under warranty with diagnosis of a "collapsed hose" and need to refill the refrigerant. 16 months later reported it out of warranty and got quoted $1400 to repair a leaking compressor. Unbelievable. I had to have my A/C repaired about a year and a half ago under warranty. It's not working again and now I'm out of warranty. For f***'s sake.

I had the same problemm and took it in for warranty repair. Me thinks that Honda is well aware that this is a known issue.
