As for the wattage, the 180watt spec is more than likely Max watts. So in reality, it's only putting out 22watts at best vs. your Clarion which is 50.
The JL amp has speaker level inputs, whereas the clarion does not look like it does. Install an LOC before either amp and maybe split a rear RCA channel to go to the sub amp. Should be no reason why this would have any impact on the head unit.
Thanks. I thought about doing that at first. But decided to give it a go myself. Everything except the voice controls on the steering wheel works. That and I have to manually select the backup camera on the HU.
Also, someone on this thread or maybe the Kenwood one was talking about back-up camera voltage not being 12V but rather ~4. Just stumbled onto this as I'm trying to get more data before tearing my car apart.
