  1. NEW AC CONDENSER LEAKING TSB 19-091

Yeah, when they wanted to charge me for a new condenser, I asked if they would refund the cost of the first recharge. When they did the recharge with dye, I asked them to put in the notes that they would refund the cost if the leak was found. They tried to claim that the rock damage wasn't the...
  2. NEW AC CONDENSER LEAKING TSB 19-091

I have a 2016 Touring sedan bought in Nov 2015. Car has been great except last September when on a road trip we noticed that the A/C wasn't blowing cold air. Took it to the dealer and they could not find a leak. They charged me $200 to recharge it and they put some dye in it and said to bring it...
  3. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Gave her a wash and wax (Collinite 845) since it's finally warm enough.
  4. Console Knee Pad/Cushion?

Glad it helped. It was torture resting my knee on the side while driving. I can't imagine the car without it now. The tape is still holding up too.

  6. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Blew the leaves off today, few weeks after washing and giving her a coat of Collinite 845. Still looking good on her 2nd anniversary.
  7. What did you do to your Civic today?!

I washed with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss using two bucket method for the wash. I used their Diablo gel to clean the rims and wheels. Butter wet wax on the paint, headlights, and taillights. And finally their new car shine dressing on the tires and black trim.

  9. What did you do to your Civic today?!

Gave her a wash to get all the pollen off.
  10. Touring subwoofer rattle fix and dampening

Not sure if it's the source of the rattle you are hearing, but I cut a strip of foam about 3" by 6" and wrapped it around the cylindrical seat belt mechanism. The other fix I later did which yielded more permanent results was putting sorbothane bumpers between the rear deck and the glass. More...
  11. Service A12

My dealer recently came up with a service package for minder item "B" which is "Engine Oil & Filter change with Honda Inspection" for $164.95. The individual item that includes oil and filter change is only $39.95, which is what I have been paying for minder item "B" for years. I guess it's a...

Beautiful day to give her a wash.

  15. Touring subwoofer rattles.

Between the sorbothane around the brake light and sponge neoprene foam under it I have zero rattle even at really high volumes. It's lasted about 9 months so far.
  16. Resonance & room modes: why Touring bass sucks & the deck rattles

Thanks for this analysis. Early on I added dynamat to a lot of the deck's metal frame, I assume that has helped reduce the rattle along with the sorbothane and foam. I'm sure an aftermarket sub will be much better, but my wife won't give up the trunk space.
  17. DIY: Using sorbothane to fix Touring subwoofer rattle

Thanks for the feedback. In addition to the four bumpers around the break light, I've removed the foam that I had between the glass and the deck and put in four more bumpers. I've found that having the bumpers on top and the foam underneath the break light has resulted in zero buzzing or...
  18. DIY: Using sorbothane to fix Touring subwoofer rattle

Do you mean the paper that covers the adhesive? Yes. That way it sticks better and stays in place.
  19. Steel Wheels

They do stick out a bit, not sure if you can see the actual lug nuts behind them though.
