Honestly, I don't know, but the Honda Part No and information say it's an engine seal. As far as I know, they had to take off quite some parts in order to reach for the engine seal. Hence it took them 8 hours with 3 technicians to finish the job. At first they thought the oil was coming from the...
Luckily wages are cheap here and the quality of work is actually really good as all of the technicians are trained by Honda Asia Pacific in Bangkok and are regularly sent overseas for training in Japan.
During my regular service they found that my car was leaking oil as well. After cleaning underneath the car and adding the white leak spray, I drove home and returned to the dealer 2 weeks later. They found that my car had an engine oil leak. They issued the claim to Honda (Honda Thailand in my...
I would like to recommend Tein Enduro Pro shocks...I have them on my Civic 2016 together with Tein lowering springs. I think they are way better than the OEM shocks and they cost the same. Not sure they are available in the US yet...
Today I installed Nissin NPS122W brake pads on my Civic. Nissin are the OEM maker for SPOON brake pads so I figured that Nissin's sport line of brake pads would come very near to SPOON brake pads. I have not upgraded my brake discs yet, but the difference in stopping power is remarkable. If you...
You are right that ceramic coatings might give of a yellow shine, but only if you put too many coatings on it or the coating is too thick. From doing my own research and talking with the Gyeon distributor, it seems that 3 layers is the best middle road. It gives a nice shine, protection and...
I have a white 2017 Civic. When I got the car in November last year I didn't like the shine nor the orange peel on the car.
I did the following steps on my car and I think it looks better than when it arrived.
- Light polish: 3M Finesse-it which is an extremely light polish normally used in...
I just had my car lowered by fitting Tein S-Tech springs...I think it must have dropped around 2.0 cm. The car finally sits nicely. Ever after changing the rims to 18 inch the car sat a bit too high for me. I kept the OEM shocks, but in the future might upgrade the complete set-up to Tein Street...
My Civic (Thailand) came with Dunlop EC300 tires and were absolutely horrible. Road noise and horrible handling. I replaced them with Michelin PS4s and the road noise is gone and handling is great now. However, I think Michelin Primacy are better with regards to road noise.
FYI, you can fit an H11 bulb inside an H8 socket. Just trim the top little nudge of the H11 bulb and it fits LIKE A GLOVE :-)
An H8 bulb can also fit in an H16 socket. No need for trimming even.
