I drive a 2017 EX-T and (finally) have to replace my OEM Firestone FT140s. After reading this forum's posts, I was leaning toward Continetal DWS 06 Plus. However, Costco is running a deal on Michelins, and I can get the CrossClimate2 (H rated) for practically the same price (with installation)...
Yep, that's why I'm polling the group.
$90 isn't all the money in the world....but I'd love to save a few $$$
Can't wait to see the price for more extensive (expensive) MM servicing.
Because they use Quaker State. :)
I don't have a problem with QS full syn instead of Honda OEM.
Honda OEM isn't...
Just did my first A1 MM service, and used the dealer where I purchased my EX (gave them first chance to earn my business). They didn't.
It's been a while since I had a dealer service a car. I discovered not much has changed and the price is higher. I paid $90 for Quaker State full syn 0W20 and...
Apologies in advance - this is slightly off topic. Not sure which forum it belongs in.
Has anyone noticed the recent Alka-Seltzer Plus "Wrong Car" ad?

Specifically, have you noticed the car(s)? It's my...
Apparently HBs of any trim level are rare in Dallas. I have seen one HB in person (maybe). Even the Sedan and Coupe aren't that common (yet). I see less than one 10th Gen a day driving around town (not counting the copycat EX-T in my office lot). :)
I did something similar, with slightly different results. My sales guy said the mats are covered under the 3yr/36k mile warranty and he had parts order a set to replace my originals. They arrived in a day and service installed the drivers side and gave me the rest to keep. While I appreciate the...
grant_bond, there is some discussion about leaks (or not) on the "Clear Side Marker" thread. Unfortunately, the Depo design is currently sold out on this eBay listing.
Space Lord, CivicsClass, thanks for the feedback, additional tips, and encouragement. The last thing I want to do is get halfway, then have to explain to my wife why I disassembled the bumper/grille assembly. :)
I watched the video (was in an earlier post), and will definitely recruit a helper...
After 6 months I too noticed how cra**y the OEM floor mats are. Honda saved $5 on these.
I found this message while searching the Forums, and thought I'd give it a bump.
This thread + the threads above provide a good overview of high quality floor mat options.
From my read, the 4 most common...
CivicsClass, like you this thread has tempted me (altho removing the bumper is a little intimidating).
As a newb, I'm trying to estimate the effort/skill needed.
How much experience do you have with cars & mods? Was this your first big one?
I'm curious to hear from any first timers that removed...
I'm adding an alternative way to get a smoked side marker mentioned in the Custom Mods thread.
Instead of replacing the side marker, Chriskillz applied a smoked tint to both side markers.

Like gtman, I have a 2017 Ex-L, and very happy with it. I only looked at the sedan. I need a 4dr and there were no HBs in Dallas when I was shopping. If I have a "regret", it's that I didn't get to see/drive a HB. Love the look, but when you need a car, you buy what's on the lot. (had to replace...
Yeah, S&H directly from HeatShield is crazy expensive. (It appears they are focused more on channel sales than individual sales; but just my guess.)
You can get them on Amazon for about $45 (w/ S&H), and many Honda dealers also stock it (bought my first 3 at a dealer).
I've only seen a few HBs on the road (altho area dealers have plenty). Of course, I don't see that many 16/17 Civics (lots of Lexus, Infinity, MB, BMW in my area). Funny story about the first HB I saw:
I was sitting at a traffic light when a 4 DR MSM Civic stops next to me (my EX-L is MSM too)...
I've been a HeatShield customer since I bought my first one from the dealer for my 1994 Accord. Never owned another brand to compare. I can vouch for the high quality. It will last at least 7-8 years with daily use. It's custom sized, and fits tightly (2 different designs depending on Sensing...
I bought a sedan about 6 weeks before the HB was out.
I'm 60, and stare jealously at the HB pics/posts (and Honda HB ad).
Guess it's for teen girls AND cool old guys. :)
I've been following the DIY: Clear side marker thread, which now has discussions about Smoked markers. It's gotten a little confusing with both mixed together. I'm starting this thread for those interested in the Smoked Side Marker. I'll start by summarizing the key things I found in the other...
