  2. Is the Honda Sensing worth the extra cost?

I think you misunderstand what ABS means. ABS does not prevent tires from skidding. The wheels will come to a complete stop and will not turn when you slam on the brakes. The purpose of ABS is prevent wheel lock up on wet and slippery roads with low pressure on the brakes, when there is less...
  3. I work at a Honda dealership...

Truecar is a joke. Sales people are quick to bring it up during negotiations because it is to their advantage. After you've agreed to the Truecar price they then proceed to tag nonsense fees and "packages" to the quote. I bought my car 2k below Truecar, by using my own method, which is: get a...
  4. Official: 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Specifications & Features, Press Kit, Pricing

I know that taigebu. My question is, why did they omit compass in the EX. It makes no sense since sedan EX has the compass.
  5. Official: 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Specifications & Features, Press Kit, Pricing

Hmm...Why no compass for the EX? Sedan Ex has it. Can't be the cost. Just puzzling:
  6. Side Comparison: Hatch, Sedan, & Coupe

Am I seeing an engineering flaw on the hatch? Look at the gap difference between the bumper and the body:

Was expecting the LED O ring I saw in the concept, but apparently not present in the production:
  8. Getting a Canadian LX in the US

Why not import it from Canada instead? You will probably do better on exchange rate and you avoid paying taxes if you purchase for export.
  9. 2016 Civic Sedan Side Crash Test

Side crash test is pretty impressive:
  10. List of what is new in the 2016 Civic

True for Canada. In US, EX-T and above are fitted with fin type antenna. Except for some minor stuff the Canadian models (specifically the LX CVT) are far more loaded than the the US counterpart. You guys lucked out:).
  11. New camo'd Civic Sedan?! This is a 6MT 1.5T prototype we drove today

So.......what's the deal with the camouflage? We already know what it looks like.
  12. Mishimoto Is Seeking Out A Turbo 1.5L 2016+ Civic!

I agree and it could possibly void your warranty if things have been tinkered with. There must be other more professional ways of doing things for a respected company, like buying a car, do the experiments and then sell it at a couple or so grand loss down the road. And if the product produced...
  13. US and Canadian Specs Compared

Thanks for the spec sheet CdnCvx. Spec sheet lists all models having the items under "Multi-Information Display". Your list indicates only the Canadian DX and US LX as having them.
  14. US and Canadian Specs Compared

Very useful info. It looks like Canadian LX CVT is pretty much like the US EX, minus the sunroof and minor novelties like push button start, etc. But it comes with heated front seats which only the US EX-T and above has it. I am surprised the Canadian LX does not come with TPMS which is now...
  15. Mishimoto Is Seeking Out A Turbo 1.5L 2016+ Civic!

Hmmm...the link is for Bisimoto not Mishimoto. Unless there is another link that explains they are one and the same.
  16. Honda Civic U.S. sales up 8.6% in November on 25,050 units sold

It will be interesting to know how much market share the new Civic will be taking out of HR-V, Accord and ILX in the months to come.
  17. Getting a Canadian LX in the US

Dealerships will sell the car to anyone who will buy them. What the new owner does to the car is not their problem. Before I brought my car from Canada to the US, I called the embassy and they told me of all the headaches and paper work that needs to be done before importing. They also said...
  18. Getting a Canadian LX in the US

I addressed the warranty issue in a separate post. As for taxes, there should not be any taxes when you import your car to the US, due to the free trade agreement. You can check this by simply googling. As for metric vs Imperial, all modern cars including this civic has capability to toggle...
  19. Getting a Canadian LX in the US

As a Canadian who moved to the US a few years ago, I can confirm that my Honda warranty was honored in the US. Here is an excerpt from the Honda.ca website: Technically, as is stated in the Warranty Guide that is provided in the glove box of every vehicle sold, the manufacturer's warranty...
