My 16 blew its tranny a few weeks ago. Just flipped 100k miles. I had all service done at dealership. Honda agreed to cover 60% of the cost. Still ran $2200 out of pocket. Disappointed this happened so early in a civic touring.
My 16 touring just passed 100000 but the tranny had some weird slipping recently. All dealer services and tranny changed every 30k. Yesterday my tranny blew driving home. Got the word today over $5400. They emailed the factory to request discount. Fingers crossed here.
After 4 yrs I can say these work well. Many marks on my guards but none right above them. I suggest to get them and the edge guards to any civic owner.
I drive 38 miles one way to work with 80% highway. My commute goes from sea level to 1400 feet and back to sea level. I drive at or above speed limits and get 35 mpg consistently in regular drive with no economy. Like others said it depends on hills and how fast you drive.
Rear deck rattle in my 2016 touring. I tried the door stops which seemed to help but not eliminate the rattle. After a third visit to honda saying they did hear a problem I decided to get an audio shop to fix the deck. 2 layers of mats and new pioneer speakers the system sounds super. Tech said...

I had the same issue with my 2016 touring. The dealer replaced the security module and had to return to get my second key programmed. I have shut off the autolock for now while I use my garage most of the time so having it lock constantly was an noying.
I have the deck rattle. Mine showed the rear window fogging in a triangle above the 3rd brake light. 2 attempts by honda to repair. Replaced the 3rd brake light housing last time but still intermittent. This rattle sucks.
I purchased the side molding and door edge right away and the look is great. Only gripe is it appears to low to catch most doors. Should be 2-3 inches higher but might not look as good.
Yep I use my phone mounted on windshield and plug in when needed. I read apple maps is google and pretty good for traffic. I need waze for nasty traffic to san jose. Sucks I need to mount a phone for an app. Should sell choices of apps on carplay.
My main complaint is not able to display waze for my commute. I can only get the audio. The no device connected is frustrating that it could not default to the fm radio.
Thaks for the post Jack. My name is Rick and own a 2016 cosmic blue touring civic. My weekly commute is 300 miles over coastal mtns. 1400 vertical elevation change. Should be a good test for the civic. 15000 so far with no issues except CarPlay.
Be aware: If you hear 3 beeps when walking away your car will not lock. I think it is sensing your key still in the car. Hit the button on handle to lock.
Same thing happened to me. I walked away from the car while my wife was inside. When she went to get out the alarm sounded. I have also had issues when I get out and am standing close to the car it will give 3 quick beeps. Not sure what that is about.
