I unplugged my battery for 30 minutes. That solved the problem (probably only temporarily - it hasn't returned for 100 km). I've heard that the BCM has to be either replaced and/or re-programmed for an actual fix.

Hey NegZero, is your fix still working for you? I ask since I also have a '17 Touring Sedan (bought last month - also in TO) and have just run into the same proximity unlock problem....

Thanks but there is no specific setting for proximity unlock. I did turn off and on all other related settings, including rebooting the headunit, to no avail.
