  1. Turbo psi gauge question

My 1.5T Civic hatch is the same way too. Basically, the more you have your foot in it, the more boost pressure you'll see, as the engine is putting out more exhaust and spinning the turbo faster. I'm sure yours sounds better than mine at least! I have to have both windows down, radio...
  2. What is the fastest you've gone in your CivicX?

Brought mine up to 100MPH once, seemed pretty stable at that speed to me :dunno:
  3. Stutter Under Heavy Acceleration - 1.5T Hatch

I bet this is exactly what I'm experiencing, I was kinda thinking it might just be the ECU. Also, I've been running 87 so I imagine that'll contribute to it a little too. The stutter I notice is never longer than a split second, so I don't think it's boost lag I'm feeling. Thanks for the input...
  4. Stutter Under Heavy Acceleration - 1.5T Hatch

I searched for a while and couldn't really find any threads talking about what I've noticed (unless I'm blind), but basically, I notice sometimes if I really put the accelerator down, I'll feel an occasional stutter as the RPMs climb. Obviously there's the initial feel of the CVT as it changes...
  5. age of hatchback drivers?

    28 when I bought mine
  6. Rallye Red, #1699 accounted for, with lots of pictures

Absolutely amazing looking car. If/when I get a Type R, it *has* to be that color.
  7. The Little 1.5T That Could -- VitTuned Si taking a beating on the dyno

lol just curious but when was the last time someone was at a car meet and people started breaking down exactly how much money they spent on car X vs someone else's car Y? People are going to buy what they're going to buy and make it their own; if the "right car" to you is the fastest one you can...
  8. CTR at (or below?!!) sticker NICE LIST!

Just spoke to one of the lead sales guys (who I happen to know from high school) at Rydell Honda in Grand Forks, ND while I was getting my first oil change, and from the sounds of it, the championship white Type R they're getting is being sold at sticker price. Said he's aware that other dealers...
  9. Initial impressions from a first-time Si owner

Man...beautiful ride. Kinda makes me wish I'd have held off on buying my EX hatch to get one of these instead. I wasn't a big fan of the Si being only coupe/sedan, but that bright red paint on yours totally changed my mind. Looks amazing!
  10. 12K to 15K over MSRP.

lmao I'd love to know who in the hell is offering 12-15K over MSRP on a friggin' Si.
  11. 10th Gen Civic Easter Egg

Car & Driver - 10th Gen Civic Easter Egg Anybody find this in their car yet? Kinda tempted to go dig through my center console just to see it for myself... Either way, pretty cool little detail!
  12. Display Homescreen + Wallpaper Thread

As a Bruins fan I find this wallpaper offensive :D Laughed when I noticed you picked #17 though...can't say I blame you! Edit: Just realized it's a nod to Prust vs Lucic...love it!
  13. Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan (205 HP / 192 LB-FT)

I'm no industry insider, but I think this is probably a big reason that you're seeing HP numbers increasing across certain segments. With safety standards and everything else being stuffed into cars nowadays, you've gotta have the power there to move 'em.
  14. Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan (205 HP / 192 LB-FT)

Which is all well and good, but most family sedans with 300 horsepower are heavier, uglier (subjectively speaking), more expensive, lack driving dynamics, or any combination of these...cars that the Si will probably not be lumped in with. I've never had an issue getting around anybody with my...
  15. Derbo's EX hatchback commuter

Please update on what the process was to swap these! :D Definitely want to change out the chrome window trim on my EX as well. Do you mind sharing where you ordered these items? I thought I saw a package on Honda's estore for a little over $150 for the set of black trim, but I can't seem to find...
  16. Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan (205 HP / 192 LB-FT)

If they'd offer the Si in hatchback form I'd probably be tempted to make a swap from my EX...as dumb a financial move as that would be. The sedan and coupe just aren't all that exciting to look at, and the added utility of having the hatchback makes it a no-brainer for me.
  17. Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan (205 HP / 192 LB-FT)

I mean...I beat on mine like I stole it when I had my Mugen Si, so you're not wrong ;)
  18. Honda Reveals 2017 Civic Si Coupe and Sedan (205 HP / 192 LB-FT)

My opinion on this exactly. Driving an Si isn't about beating everyone else stoplight-to-stoplight, it's about the whole package and driving experience. As a fun, reliable daily for a driving enthusiast, the Si is perfect, and I think that's exactly what it's supposed to be. The Type R on the...
