I dipped mine. It's really not hard to do, and probably cost less than buying a new emblem. And you'll be much prouder for having done something yourself :) But i must warn you... dipping is very addictive.

Yes, it's matte finish. You can definitly tell when you look at it up close. The smoothness of the coat also makes a big difference, especially with light hitting it from different angles. My first ever plasti dip job was blacking out the door trims, and I did a OK job but could certainly be...
