I'm keeping fingers crossed the '19 refresh will = volume knob (almost definite), blind spot/rear cross alert (why wouldn't they?) and and Homelink-enabled rear view mirror (at least as an accessory). Might be a new color selection or two in the works as well I'm hearing.
OK, it's almost trigger pulling time.
Price shopping NH and MA dealers, thinking deals are to be had since the 2017 will come in a few months. I have multiple quotes for Touring sedan at $23,9XX for purchase, not a lease. So it appears I can get a touring OTD for about $24,2XX after dealer...
Is anyone aware of any minor changes/updates that might come with the 2017 model? My timeline is to purchase in January so I'll probably have an option for either model year. I don't believe there are any significant bugs in the first year model -- subwoofer rattling and software crashes are...
Not sure. I would think that is a totally different regional market. Dealer did say that in Florida the demand is higher and they have considered doing dealer swaps to dealers where there is more demand. I think this is really more for the higher models...
I learned through a dealer yesterday that Civics are being discounted regionally, some regions much more than others. In the northeast (ME, NH, MA) dealers are are receiving a kick back to keep inventory moving. Dealer told me Touring are not selling as much in northeast. I've gotten quotes...
I just did it through TrueCar. didn't negotiate anything :) I've noticed that Civics and Touring models specifically are not selling well around here. Still that price was better than I thought any dealer would put out there...
I just got a quote for a Touring for $24,200. Great deal and, being in NH, there is no sales tax. Very tempting but we are not ready to pull the trigger until fall. I would assume the Touring models are not selling that well at their MSRP price point. I do think $27k for a Civic is a bit...
A former 925-er myself, I learned about CA's tinting laws the hard way... Front windshield no tint allowed (except top four inches), front sides only up to 30% tint. Back windows have no restrictions.
Lunar silver looks good in the CA sunshine.
So Honda hasn't historically offered the blind spot/rear cross traffic alert system on many of their vehicles it seems...
One follow-up comment on Homelink. It'd be easy to just offer a Homelink-enabled rear view mirror as an optional accessory item.
I've learned of another deficiency on...
I'm baffled that honda didn't just include a blind spot monitoring system and combine with rear cross traffic alert. The yellow warning lights have saved me many times... The convex mirror and the passenger side camera system isn't as good.
Already decided the Civic is my next car. However, I was thinking what might make the Civic a better car, for me at least.
I can think of two things: if it had blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert vs. just the camera on the passenger side. Blind spot and cross traffic alerts have...
