  1. US vs. Canada quality

My Nissan Rogue was built in Japan. It's initial build quality was good, but developed a few rattles and weird noise from the speedo/tach over the 5 years I owned it. My 1983 Mazda was built in Japan and was magnificent compared to North American cars at the time. I have would have to say my...
  2. Post your tinted windows

50% XPEL ceramic on the sides, 35% on the back.
  3. I messed up.

Don't worry about it. You've broken in your engine the motoman way http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
  4. Cracked Trim/Panel & Dash Issues

Just throwing it out there - perhaps coupe dashboards are sourced from a different supplier? Aren't most coupes built in Alliston?
  5. Real Life Mileage Vs. Dash Mileage

On my last road trip, the dash reading was 0.3l/100km more optimistic than my fuelly calculation. However, my engine is still quite new and breaking in...
  6. Ontario check-in!

Returning to Ottawa from London on my first road trip yesterday (Saturday) and I saw a red coupe (like mine!) that was rear-ended on the eastbound 401 around Milton at approx noon. I wonder if it was a forum member?
  7. Live Pics: Civic Si Coupe debuts at 2017 NYIAS

I'm loving the rear end, not so much the front. The SI seats would look fabulous in my LX coupe :)
  8. first time jacking up a car....

The jacking points on the Civic seem to be a little more substantial than on my son's Mazda 3, but I bought this jack pad which I *hope* will fit on my Princess Auto floor jack. It's 4.5" in diameter on the bottom and 5.5" in diameter where it has slots to fit in the pinch welds...
  9. My 2016 Dashboard Melted In !!!

I would urge you to file a report with the NTSA. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/
  10. Fog light halos

I would have thought that the DRLs would turn off when either the fog lights or headlights (or both) were on. I will check this evening. For those of you who have no fog lights (like my LX coupe), I *think* these are the OEM parts you need to buy to go with the Ebay angel eye LED mod, as...
  11. Body Style Poll

Your Civic is very attractive, if you don't mind my saying...
  12. Manual transmission rare?

I had no problem finding a 6MT LX coupe, in the colour I wanted, Rallye red. It was built in mid-feb in Alliston, sent to a dealership in Cornwall, Ontario on spec, and then trucked up to Ottawa, when I made a downpayment 2 weeks ago. I am amazed at how light the clutch is compared to every...
  13. what is the new bad boy budget sub out there?

Mike - does the factory equipment have an aux out? Where do you connect the subwoofer? tia
  14. Ontario - Anyone have a hookup on Honda Parts / Wheels?

The 17" wheels from the hatchback would look great on my coupe.
  15. First dealer oil change experience

It's going to be tough waiting for the recommended oil change interval.
  16. Canadian Pricing Negotiating

My 6sp LX coupe came in yesterday, so I took a swing by this morning before work to take a look. Picking it up on Saturday.

  18. 2017 Civic Si vs 2017 Civic Coupe

Will this be your only vehicle? If so, I would probably lean towards the SI. I just picked up an LX coupe with the NA 2.0 for a daily driver, but I have my bike when I 'feel the need for speed'... (and my yet-to-be finished RX7 project)
  19. Towing with the Si

Honda Canada doesn't recommend towing with the Civic, so I doubt they will try to address it...
