They replaced the compressor on my car in 2021 when I brought it in for blowing warm air on the drivers’ side. Last year, they said it was the condenser, so that was replaced under the tsb. Luckily I’m still under my 8 year hondacare but the free extended 10 year warranty related to this issue...
Welp, the issue is back. Not even a year later. Given I didn’t use the a/c during the winter, this is quite upsetting. Will make my way to the dealership sometime soon.
Seems like it's becoming a yearly ordeal for me. Driver side vent is blowing warmer air than the passenger side by a measure of 20-30 degrees at a minimum so it has to be leaking somewhere. Bringing it in tomorrow to see what they say. The extended warranty covered the compressor replacement...
Thanks all. Blows that it requires a full bumper removal for this trim.
Not really inclined to do it myself but I will try to find a video on how it's done and figure it out.
I have a 2016 regular SEDAN Touring and noticed that the glass fog light lens has cracked. Do I have to remove the entire bumper to replace the fog light housing on my 2016 Sedan?
Thanks, went to the dealer. After diag, they said the compressor is leaking. It's covered by the $900 Hondacare VSC I bought online back in 2016, otherwise it would be a $2200 repair if I didn't have it.
Compressor is backordered for a month though.
The driver's side is blowing warmer air than the passenger side. It will eventually start blowing cool air, but it still won't match the passenger side. Difference of at least 25 degrees. I do have the Hondacare VSC. Should I bring it in to the dealership in my situation or is it likely just low...
They will do transfers/trades with other dealers at their discretion, but the price will not be as negotiable because of it. Best advice would be to drive down there if you care about price.
Honda might sound like they're being a jerk but they're definitely in the right in this situation IMO.
They didn't have to approve you for a goodwill repair when you're out of warranty with no vehicle service contract (I'm assuming).
You moved and didn't wait for approval before getting it...
They should be tinting around the Honda Sensing module. There should be two tint strip pieces, one on the left and one on the right. There shouldn't be any tint in front of the camera at all. This is a non-issue unless they're disassembling everything in order to tint it as a single strip, which...
I'm an idiot and threw out the OEMs when I replaced them with Bosch wipers. The Bosch wipers are terrible.
OEMs cost as much as the PIAAs, so I'm not sure what to go with now.
