I have always regreted doing pricey mods on a car. I spent a couple thousand hooking up my Acura CL back in the day and count as one of the dumbest financial/hobby moves I have ever done. I was pumping every penny I had into that car when I should've just bought a nicer newer car that is faster...
For those of you with the paddle shifters on your Sport and Sport Touring CVT hatchbacks. What are your impressions of them. Does it help at all in driving or even enjoyment of driving. Do you use them regularly?
Man, seeing the bickering in here between the 2.0 and 1.5t is sad. I'm someone who is considering a 2.0 Sport. Obviously I know it's slower but I have my reasons.
I go to an impreza board as well as I'm also considering the new Impreza's. They also come with naturally aspirated 2.0 CVT's and...
Agreed, I always felt the chrome only looked good on the green and blue and now I'll add yellow to that mix. I prefer the blacked out look on all of the other colors though.
If push came to shove I'd prefer the 1.5T but it does come with the downsides of added complexity and more weight. I currently drive a 2008 Honda Fit (0-60 in the 9 to 9.5 sec range) so even the 2.0 Civic would be an improvement in a much prettier package. My Fit has paddle shifters and as silly...
The Sport also gets the mid-tier 8 speaker sound system. I was worried that they would cheap out and put in the 4 speaker LX sound system in there. The sport seems like such a nice combination of the features I wanted (paddle shifters, black grill, nice wheels, apple car play, pushbutton start...
If we're talking long term 20 year old honda with a million miles type of relability we're obviously all guessing. However, with only common sense as my only guide a naturally aspirated, non-direct injection engine based on a decades old design that has proven to be reliable would be the logical...
I really love the Sport model hatchbacks but I hate the premium fuel recommendation. I hear some on here have the sport models and use regular without a problem and they always say that the car has Knock control.
I never liked that answer because I didn't want the car to do someone unique to...
I think I kind of figured it out from Honda's owners site. The curb weight on a CVT LX Coupe (The only coupe model with no sunroof and a 2.0 engine) is 2752 and the curb weight on a CVT EX Hatchback is 2950 so the difference is about 198 lbs (minus a few pounds for the wheels.
What is your best estimate on the weight difference between the EX Hatch and Sport Coupe. Keep in mind the EX Hatch has a moonroof, the turbo engine (which weighs more) and the Hatch in general is the heaviest body style while the coupe is the lightest?
I like the Coupe Si wing the most. The Sedan Si and Type R wing are second place for different reasons (too subtle and too flashy respectively). The Coupe Si Wing looks better in person than in pics. The first time I saw a Red Civic Si Coupe, it made me drool, even more so than the firs time I...
Has anyone painted the black stands for the Si Coupe Spoiler. If I go with a touring coupe I would like to add the Si Spoiler, however with the touring having the chrome door handles, chrome grill and chrome window linings, I thought the black would clash (doesn't clash on the Si because of the...
Yeah, the "ILX getting discontinued" was another annoying I heard rumor that took on a life of it's own and now the 2019 ILX refresh/redesign just hit Acura's future vehicles section.
