I guess I depends on the year it was made. American cars today have come a long way in quality. In fact , I wondered why consumer reports slammed Ford in ratings. I read it was like the 2016 civic and only because of electronic issues.
I am probably buying mine very soon. I would only get the extended warranty because of the questionable infotainment system . Otherwise I'd trust everything else as I have with Toyota.
I havent ruled out the Civic entirely but close now. I test drove a Camry today and it looks very nice inside and very quiet. Yes, the goodies on civic are plentiful I agree.
It's funny because I'm planning to negotiate the same as you. I have heard it's a good idea to get the "Out the door price,"also. I agree with you also in having loyalty to the one who you test drove the car from. I've got his number on my phone and told him I'd be in touch . If his price was...
I would very much like to talk to you more about the online thing. I just made phone calls last time . I had about 6-8 bidding against each other.Had to get on plane in a day so couldn't keep the process going any longer. I am glad you shared your story. I've heard some don't even want to...
I'm happy you posted this for us all to see for one. I'm sure many others have seen it some place and learn from your experiences negotiating the best deal. Heck, I'm going to get 20 or more to bid against each other online if that's what it takes. As for the negative comments regarding the...
I've also thought of many comparisons to a school or University grading system. I'm hoping the average consumer reads many other sources before making final decisions.
I've seen that report from Consumer Reports as well. It is very unfair but still of concern . Thanks for sharing that, as I think everyone should know why Consumer Reports came up with their conclusion , to not recommend the 2016 Civic.
Yea, it's all Toyota inside just GM body. Honda CRV I liked to but wife vetoed that saying we already have a Hatchback. The Fit I liked to but kind of small. I'm leaning heavily toward the Camry now. Just so little trust in these new Civics. Your lucky with the CRV and the reliabilty of the model .
I guess having been burned on so many American cars of my youth, I'm not as concerned about the driving experience as in reliabilty.
I to was impressed with all the upgrades on the new Civic. I'll settle for less if it means less trouble down the road.
I'm not sure which models are effected below the Touring model. I always have had Toyota before . Never any major issues with them. I may just buy a Toyota Camry . After all, its not as cool as the Honda cars ,but at least it's dependable. Besides Camry was also revamped in 2015 and more...
I'm afraid of buying a Civic now from reading of the many infotainment issues. I'm considering waiting to buy a 2017 in a month or even next year ,to see acumilated data. Also considering an LX over an Ex. Although maybe all have same system? ( Information on newer 2017 owners...
I think if you are looking at a comparable car , look at a 2015 camry . A little cheaper than the 2016 and camry was also redesigned in 2015 and looks much better than before.
