Just did this procedure on the '17 Touring Sedan. Seems to work. Only issue I've found, is the blue accent light near the sunroof controls is also disabled. Haven't checked the ones in the wheel wells yet.
Do I have to trade the OEM accent lighting for traditional intermittent wipers?
Lumens as well. If you're looking for more lumens, the stock reflector is still going to blind people as it's designed for a certain halogen bulb spec.
I can tell you that they create glare. I've been blinded by Toyota Carollas with HID drop-ins, and have been flashed countless times before blocking the squirrel finders on the 2011 Scion tC with HID drop-ins I used to have.
You'll have to open your headlight housings, unscrew the stock...
I'd be more interested in retrofitting the D2S 5.0 over the MH1 7.0 are the D2S 5.0 also a simple modification of the retro-quick adapter? Similar to the MH1?
Unfortunately guys, the Civic Touring model doesn't have halogen projectors. They use an LED array with reflectors. So I'd have to swap...
Are you going to RMA the side with the broken adjuster?
So far I've seen the issue with your adjuster, as well as an issue with the DRL not working correctly. This is pushing me away from buying these jewel eye headlights. I'd also hate to spend $1,300 on headlights and have them perform less...
Awesome! Would love to see some 'on the road' shots and/or a video. Still very curious on how the beam performs on the road.
Would you say the turn signals aren't as bright as the stock touring signals? Not sure if you have the touring though.
I'm sorry, but what DRL problem am I not seeing in that picture above? I see in one of the pics with the Headlights on, the driver side appears unplugged, is this not the case?
They must have had a huge amount of orders to fill. I'm sure this is a difficult part of the year for the workers at TRS. Personally, I've never had a problem with them. Done business with them since 2011, and I've called them a few times over the years, have always had a pleasant experience. I...
My advice to you is to take your time with the retro. Take the extra step to mount them in your car while the lenses are still separated from the housings. Aim them, level them. Make sure the hotspot is perfect by rotating the bulbs while lit - they rotate very slightly with the motoholders...
Dang. Well thanks for keeping us posted. There's a group of us here anxious to see how these headlights perform.
I just finished installing MH1 7.0s in my wife's Ford Explorer (3rd time performing an MH1 retro) and they are beautiful. So I'm torn between whether to purchase these Morimoto LED...
I read somewhere previously that only 1 of the 3 projectors on each side has a step-up. So that faint step up beam on the right is going to be more dim than the rest.
mo_92, Have you tried this "2-step" factory reset in an attempt to resolve the Android Auto issue? I'm holding off on updating the head unit since I use AA almost daily.
The issue is how much the car relies on the head unit to function properly.
Try pulling out the fuse for your touchscreen head unit in your EX-L.
You'll notice the compass doesn't work. No way to adjust the clock on the dash, HVAC issues, etc.
Now if someone creates a solution to this, I'll...
Did you install Google Account Manager?

Edit: Google Services Framework may also be needed

Well, technically Android Auto is an app. Maybe try creating a shortcut using Nova Launcher.
To do this, long press on home screen, tap Widgets. At the very top of the list, select "Activities" In that list, scroll through and try to find the Shortcut for Android Auto or Smartphone. Maybe even...
