I get roughly 450-475 miles a tank. Pretty much all highway, w/ Eco on ranging from 38-45mpg depending on weather/traffic. It says zero miles with around 1 gallon left in the tank (This is just based on subtracting the number of gallons filled from the tank size, not an exact measurement). With...
Thanks guys, I've done some research since posting. Looks like claims of increased MPG are usually false. It seems that the people who do experience increased mpg, are people who replaced a dirty filter with a K&N or something similar, whereas just replacing the dirty filter with a new stock...
I've noticed that the spoiler and rear wiper actually help to block the headlights of cars behind me at night lol. If you position yourself right you can kind of alleviate some of the glare from traffic behind you. I'm going to get my auto-dimming mirror put on soon though, so .. eh.
Hey all, like the title says - just looking to hear from owners who are using drop in filters. I've been having a hard time finding any reviews or feedback on them.
Ether from K&N or AFE, or whatever else is out there.
I'm mostly interested in hearing how they have effected your MPG...
Just got an email that mine will be in sometime mid-Feb. so just a few more weeks - I'd say its worth the wait. I borrow my Dad's Legacy that has Subaru's "EyeSight" which is the same thing as Sensing. It's very nice to have - especially when the Lady is driving. I don't have to worry so much...
My experience with K&N drop-ins is generally good. They help MPG very slightly, but obviously it depends on the car.
As for performance... eh... maybe slightly better throttle response? Again it depends on the car.. whoever gets one should like it though, and it definitely saves money not having...
I put a deposit on an EX w/ Sensing with a build date of 1/13. So should have it by the end of January or Early Feb.
Sensing adds around 1k to the sticker, so, 22,800 (Base EX) + 990 (Sensing) + fees comes out to around 24,200 pre-tax.
The dealer is offering me the Footwell and console lighting...
Seems like adding sensing adds around 8-900$ to the MSRP.
My dealer quoted an EX w/Sensing At 24,646 OTD (This is factoring Tax with a Trade in though, add another 1g if you're paying tax on the whole amount). They offering the console lighting, footwell lighting, and auto-dimming mirror...
I have about the same commute - I drive my dad's Legacy that has Subaru's Eyesight, which is essentially the same thing as Sensing. It makes the drive so much more bearable - especially when you're tired and headed home after a long stressful day. It's why I'm holding out for an EX w/ sensing as...
Will there be a map for 87 octane? What are the hp/tq numbers for keeping it on regular gas?
I know you get the best results from 91/93 - Just curious.
How many miles are on it? You'll get burning smells in any car as they break in. They spray all kind of anti-corrosion stuff on the cars that burns when the components get warmer than usual, which is normal when you're going up big hills.
You can always have the dealer check it out if you're...
i'm skeptical of intakes for this car - Look at how the induction pipe is flattened and squished looking, BEFORE the section the intake replaces... that's where any restriction is going to be.
Can't you just take the resonator section off the stock airbox to get better sound out of it?
I just had that happen on my Subie, little bastards chewed a wire on the MAF sensor (Which is part of the whole ECU harness). The dealership fixed it for 150$, we provided the wire though. They just cut the chewed piece out and soldered a new one in place.
I know it's Honda and not Subaru, but...
