I have been dealing with this same issue for over a year. After many attempts at figuring it out, reboots, etc, I found what I believe to be the main culprit --> the lightning port on my 2.5+ year old Iphone is wearing out, getting dirty and not making a good connection with the lightning...
Right off the bat one major difference would be the time before the system requires you to prove you're alert - 5-6 minutes versus 30 seconds or so with Sensing. For me this would never be worth paying a grand as I always have a hand on the wheel and only occasionally get the "steering required"...
I would love to support this but from everything I'm reading the improvements over the existing Honda Sensing software are minimal. Honda Sensing works very well under typical use circumstances (boring highway driving). To get me to drop serious $ on an advancement I'd want some marked...

Soi far I've found that I like to keep ACC pacing at extra long (so long as I'm in the slow lane). Seems to work out better for the reason you mention and in terms of allowing merging traffic ample space.

While the engine is running, the vehicle will automatically activate climate control with a preset temperature of 72°F (22°C).
When it is warm outside:
