I have the Mishimoto SRI. There's a nice intake growl when stepping on the gas, but it's not too loud. You can't really hear the turbo unless you're hard on the boost, or if the windows are down, and it's not really loud at all. I'm running Ktuner 19/23 and otherwise stock.
Nice ! I was about to post saying you should just get the Si for a the extra 2k roughly it cost extra. I've got a blue coupe, put on the 19/23 PSI Ktuner base map with the boost and throttle response turned up, makes a massive difference. I rarely drive the car in Sport mode because the 19...
17 Si Coupe. Followed break-in for 1000 miles. Drive the car casually, never launched, never WOT in 5th or 6th. Rarely go WOT, usually 70-80% if I want to go fast. Have misshifted twice from 3rd to 2nd. Currently using ktuner 19/23 dual map and Mishimoto SRI. 4700 miles and no slip...
I've misshifted twice. Both times I was on WOT and shift from 3rd to 4th but hit 2nd, but clutched in immediately after hitting the rev limiter. Haven't had an issues since. Just a bit more careful about shifting.
This is pretty much my setup. I have a ktuner with the 19/23 base map tune and a Mishimoto SRI for cool intake / turbo spool sound. It works pretty well. I'm contemplating getting a charge pipe for more turbo sound and a custom tune to help keep the clutch from glazing when I drive it hard.
1st to 2nd gear, the timing is different than other gear shifts. You need to keep the clutch in a bit longer before shifting. This is partly due to the difference in gear ratios vs. other shifts, and also Rev-hang (which can be tuned out), and the Clutch Delay valve.
Just keep the clutch in a...
Dude, get the Si and put a tune an intake on it. (Factory tune is garbage). It's a fantastic package for a fun daily driver. Nice looks inside and out, great on gas, comfortable heated seats, takes turns like a champ with that LSD pulling you through. You're gonna save at least 10k, probably...
The Dasaita looks really interesting. Seems like a good way to circumvent Honda DSP/AMP comobo in Touring/Si/Type R trim levels. Wondering if anyone who has the AMP/Premium sound system who has gotten this can provide feedback on how well it works?
I had BFGoodrich COMP 2 A/S Ultra-High Performance All Seasons on my EX-L before I traded it in. I will probably buy another set if I don't go with a Summer tire. I put 11k miles on them and they still looked fresh.
There's another thread on here where a guy got a similar head unit and had good results with it. From what I can tell looks like it's an android tablet with the radio tuner/amp built and has plug ins for all the oem stuff like lane watch and steering wheel controls. I checked on youtube and...
Sweet. I'd like to get the CAI but it floods in my area every year and know 3 people that have blown their engines in the last few years due to CAI sucking in some water. Would rather just go with a safer option that gives less or even minium power, cause it sounds so much better than the...
1500 to upgrade to an LSD on an EX or EXT, you might as well get the Si. The LX is definitely cheaper but by the time you put an LSD in it you're only about 2-3k off from an Si. Versus 10-20k on a Type R.
I almost ordered an SRI for the regular 1.5, thanks for the info guys. Looks like K&N is the only one to sell an SRI at the time of this post, but it's pretty much the same price as a CAI. I'd like to have the CAI but our roads here are terrible and we get a lot of thunderstorms/hurricanes so...
