It looks like the Mazda CX-30 will be getting the same 2.5 turbo as well. Pricing will fall between the mazda3 sedan and hatch prices.

Honda also announced stopping the manual for the accord a few months ago. I think they may have a couple models with the manual. Maybe the SI and one Hatchback trim is the best we could hope for.
Mazda Canada has announced pricing and they are charging $2,400cdn to add the turbo to existing GT/AWD trims. The lowest priced GT/AWD Turbo Sedan will list for $32,900cdn. For Comparison the SI starts at $30,290cdn.
That would suggest starting at well under $30K US for the Mazda3 Turbo.

I agree that the main difference will be how the power is delivered. You would not have any turbo lag and it looks it would still benefit from revving higher.
