This was my experience as well (bought my 16 in August of 16). I average about 40 in warm weather and 35 in cold. I chalk it up to a % loss in efficiency. In my previous car, the drop wouldn't be as noticeable because I was only getting 20-22 MPG to begin with. I think it's just more...
In case anyone cares to know, my problem was with my LED strip in the trunk. Over time, the wires must have degraded to the point that the sheathing around them disintegrated, and eventually they shorted to the frame. I taped the wires up for now, but I will re-route them to avoid the issue in...
Hey all, long time no see. I am digging up this old thread to hopefully find some help. 2016 Civic EX-L here, just under 13,000 miles to date. Recently I noticed that my interior lights just stopped working out of the blue. I thought it odd but didn't really do anything about it. Today I...
i can tell you for me personally, warming the car up doesn't have a drastic effect, but it does move the needle some. My commute to work when I first got my car in august, I could get 47-50 MPG (just 25 miles, small sample I know)... That same exact drive, all else being the same, I am...
Nope. Just some road salt and the occasional bird dropping! She needs a bath!
I do want to get a visor at some point, but outside of that just not much money to spend right now! Hope you're well!
Haven't seen any snow yet here in Southeastern PA... Well, none that stuck to the road anyway...
One thing I have noticed though, since the temps have dropped my MPGs have suffered greatly. More so than any other car I've ever owned. I was getting about 41 MPG per tank and now I am down to...
interesting. That didn't work for me... But what did work was rebooting my infotainment center by holding down the button on top.
I hope it's not an issue moving forward.
Good to hear from you man. Hope you're still enjoying the car!
Hey @johnnytavani did you ever figure out your issue with Apple Carplay not initiating when plugging in your phone? My car is now doing it and this morning I couldn't get it to work at all. I even restarted the phone and the car. Super frustrating!
I can't show you the difference, but I ordered the manual from the owner's portal thanks to advice here.
The guide in my glove box pales very much in comparison to what was mailed. The manual I received in the mail was over an inch thick.
I also ordered the warranty book.
The hood issue was nothing major. The driver's side seam (5-6" straight edge) between the front quarterpanel and the hood were not properly lining up. The hood appeared lower than the quarterpanel. It almost looked like it was dented.
Dealer adjusted the hood in 5 minutes.
Got my physical honda manuals in the mail today. make sure you order yours from Honda through the Owner portal if you recently took delivery of your Civic. They're free!
I had a slight hood misalignment issue. That's it. One quick 5 min trip to the dealer fixed it.
I do have the "grinding noise on warm startup" issue, but as far as we know it's not detrimental to the car.
