I think that the EX-T manual is the sweet spot for this car. Although I would love to buy the hatchback, for me it is missing too many essentials. And although many love the CVT, I personally prefer the stick. May depend upon the type of driving that you do (stop and go city vs mostly...
For me the heated seats and CarPlay are almost a must. Would love the utility of the hatch but not if its bare bones.
I have a very long highway commute and my old back needs heat.
The Civic is not a small car anymore....almost as large as our old Accord Sedan from a couple of generations ago...
I know this has been tossed around earlier, but now the Honda News site has the official breakdown. The EX-T now gets manual transmission option.
Nice to see that we can get a manual with a few goodies...
Exactly....especially since the MT in other markets actually is available in other trim levels. I can buy a manual in the US and it comes with an ashtray and 12" wheels....thanks!
I rarely use my sunroof. Every time I slide back the shade, sun blasts me in the eyes. I think that I have probably opened sunroom only 3 or 4 times in the last 10 years. Must be cloudy and I have to be on slow back roads or the road noise detracts from the experience.
Have to agree at least from my POV. CVT may be great with MPG but I would prefer traditional auto or MT. Since CVT is only choice I am looking at MT EX-T if they ever arrive.
Any idea when the EX-T (sedan or coupe) with Manual and Carplay, etc will be hitting dealer lots? I see some posts expecting some 2017s arriving this week. Not sure if that is wishful thinking or based upon some dealer information.
May have to pull the trigger pretty soon since my TL is just...
Damn! Really wish Honda would kick a few of the manual turbos with some upgrades to the US....at least give us Car Play.
And how can anyone forget Hockey from Canada.
I read somewhere that Honda is one company that does not honor the warranty....but the article was older so maybe things have changed.
Just seems unduly difficult to purchase a car that is or will be in production, but located over a line. I am sure that there are many good reasons but again...
Although I stopped reading about half way through....I have to agree with the frustration.
I would love to get a manual with the turbo with at least some upgrade in trim: CarPlay and heated seats would be nice....esp since they already build the car for Canada.
Clearly Honda thinks that Canada...
Exactly how I feel. I would love an alternative to the CVT with at least some upgrade in trim. Carplay with manual would have been a good start. Was very happy with the original news release but this update is a bummer. The Accord EX has the combo...not sure why Honda made the change with...
Agreed....I was hoping for a manual at the EX - T trim or higher. The EX adds at least a few nice upgrades, but without the manual we are back to square one. When is the Si coming?!
The rumors just say late 2016 or early 2017. I assume that you saw that the hb has manual with some of the trim levels. I am also waiting for a turbo, manual....but would love a higher trim level. Can only wait and hope.
was really hoping to get a manual with upper trim levels....I am assuming that the other manuals to come will have the same trims (sedan and coupe). Waiting to hear about the Si
Hey guys. Longtime Honda/Acura owner waiting for more good news with the CivicX. Looking to get back into a manual with the 1.5 turbo...waiting to see the details on the trims with this combo, and especially the Si.
