Why don't you bring your car to the dealer and have them determine whether it was caused by the collision? If it was truly a defect, you can have it R&R under warranty.
Is your brake pedal a little spongy and mushy with the engine on? I've always wondered if Civics (and new cars in general) were just like that. If I pump my brakes with the engine off, I still get about 1/2" of mushy travel.
Anyone know of a way to make the pedal super stiff? Better brake...
2016 Civic LX w/ Sensing - Almost at 93,000 miles in 2.5 years of ownership.
It's my daily 110 mile (2 hour total) round-trip car for 5 days a week with no traffic either way (so you can say, it's 95% highway miles).
8 oil and filter changes thus far (every 12K miles), 1 CVT fluid change...
I also recently installed Morimoto H11 LEDs. My experience with them is that while they are a lot brighter and whiter... the throw distance was actually a lot shorter for me compared to OEM halogens. On pitch-black, long stretches of road, I actually feel like I can't see as far.
I guess this may not apply to everyone... but I have a 2016 Honda Civic LX with Honda Sensing (which means I have the digital speedometer and a clock display to the bottom right of the odometer). Car came with the standard radio (not DisplayAudio).
I removed my factory head unit and replaced...
If you don't mind me asking, how long have you had the car, and how many miles when you encountered this? Do you run the A/C a lot?
I just got my LX last week... Crossing fingers I don't encounter this.
