FINALLY!
The wheels are finally on. Extreme Contact O2 and of course it snows a little the day I put on the summers. I don’t care!! It’s been 4 months with these sitting in the garage and I’m not waiting any more.
It’s about a 1” drop back to factory height from the oversized factory wheels...
The amp has all the channels separated so you don’t need to use the crossovers. The channels will be filtered to the factory speaker settings that are not adjustable so it may not provide the full frequency range that your new speakers can handle. As always, I’m not responsible if you blow up...
I had the same issue, tank was almost empty. Put an entire bottle of cleaner in and good as new. Not much help if you really have a mechanical issue, but a good reminder to start with the obvious stuff. I figured it would have been more complex of an issue.
Arts and Crafts Day
Well can’t sit around and do nothing on the car, so decided to do a little clean up of things and swap out some hardware. I grabbed some titanium hardware from JD Customs l. FYI they say they will have titanium valve cover kits in a week or 2.
Decided to paint the lettering...
Trunk Cleanup
So decided to do a little fixing of the back end. The kicker sub I had in was pushing against the factory grill. Not causing issues but it bowed out a little. If you drill off the grill from the back, then cut out the center following the plastic ring it makes a nice circle to...
PRL Inlet pipe
So it came and install was as expected, tight spaces and hard to reach hardware. All in all not bad. Did put in the Rampage titanium inlet bolts. Figured if I was taking it apart I might as well make it easier in the future.
I was working on it hot after I just got home so it...
King motorsports. They were out of stock on the unpainted, but were able to ship it in about 2 weeks. I’ve ordered other Mugen gear from them and they are spot on. Plan on getting the rest of the kit from them once I can.
Mugen Garnish
Have a picture of these too. Install on the opened guards required a little work. Since the back was gone I had to get some fender washers. 1.5” washers were more than enough. A little paint match and it’s nice to not see the crash beam anymore.
TE BAND WAGON!!!
Alrighty boys I’ve joined the club. Yes they are a dime a dozen now… but damn they look good and with Black Friday deals the wife fully “caved”. Nah, she supports my addition a little. She’s the healthy balance. ANYWAY! Stems are loaded, stickers are on (Hyper Yellow is kinda...
Hey gang,
So swapped the fuel pump and all went well mostly. I did break the clip for the vapor recirculation hose. Been looking through the service manual and can find the hose…. But not the clip. Anyone have a part number or recommendation to replace?
Thanks all!
Been a while since I updated. Had some fuel issues… that recall for the pump, and Honda said my VIN didnt qualify. So replaced it with a DW300 and it was fine, until the double stack O-Ring thing they want you to do messed up. After a bunch of time and effort trying to fix it, just replaced with...
Long time no update. Couple things…..
Put Perrin rear motor mount inserts in. The install was actually not bad at all. Was expecting to wrestle it in but with some wiggles and a little elbow grease it went right in. Feels good, the wheel hope is gone. The vibrations are more noticeable, but...
Just a guess, but the Type R has a factory amp that uses an optical line. The RS unit might have the plug, but I would bet it is not active. Again just speculation
Lots going on in this thread… anyway!
I couldn’t stand how dated the factory unit was so I replaced the whole thing, the amp on the passenger side, even pulled the antenna tuner by the rear seat… well because.
The canbus adapter the new unit comes with can convert most of the signals, the main...
Fog Light Covers
Been a slow couple weeks. Car audio has been great, no issues what so ever. Decided to get the PRO design fog light covers. I had butchered up the factory covers placing the license plate frame how I liked it. So it was time to replace them. These look great, and no need to...
Kicker 48CWRT82
Last piece is in. It’s a dual 2 ohm coils. I put them in series for 4 ohms to match the impedance of all other channels. The sub is nice. Real slim and requires 0.3-0.5 cubic feet of space which is good for the 0.39 of the factory box. I sealed up the holes pretty well, and...
