A wheel shop should be able to fix that pretty easily. I had something similar fixed on my wife's vehicle.

I have similar issues. Sometimes I have to unplug the phone and plug it back in a time or two to get the car to recognize it and sometimes it works right away. I tried all the same troubleshooting steps that you did.

Replaced the factory carpet floor mats with Weathertech mats and got them dirty. I did the front, rear, and trunk. So far I really like them and they fit pretty well.
