Useful information. I suspect it may indeed be the way the lightning port is configured on the 2 pieces of hardware but it's really odd that it doesn't seem like everybody is having the same problem with the 6 or 6s.

Can you clarify a couple of things - do you mean you have to reboot your phone or the car unit? I'm assuming the phone? What specifically do you mean by reboot? Turn off and on?. home and power button? Were you having any problems before installing the 10.1 Beta? Were you running 10 or 10.0.2...

Try having the phone on and unlocked before you plug it in. Works every time in that scenario.
