The way you describe it doesn't represent at all my experience.
In my car, it's definitely strong enough to keep the car inside the lane, including in curves. And some were mentioning light curves only. I tested it with my hands hovering in a not so light curve and it was able to follow the...
It's possible the calibration is not quite right. My dealer had to calibrate my camera a second time because the first time, my car would detect the lines and steer to the right in the shoulder. When staying in the center of a lane, there was a constant force in the wheel to the right and the...
On the snow, I pretty much always activate the ECON mode. I feel like it reduces the torque when partially pressing the gas pedal. After months of winter and deactivating ECON, I'm always surprised how much torque there is when pressing the pedal only a little.
In the winter, ECON is very...
The CMBS can be deactivated via a button on the left of the steering wheel indeed. Note that it reactivates itself at the next startup.
However, the sensitivity of it can be adjusted in the vehicle options, accessible from the center screen. There are 3 modes, long, medium and short. The...
No, actually, on the CVT transmission, it's the little button you push if you want to change from P to D for instance. The lever unlock button.
You can reset the infotainment by holding down the Audio On/Off touch button for a couple seconds, until a notification appears asking if you want to...
This behavior is how I go from engine running to accessory mode if I want to.
I keep the shift lever button pressed while pressing the Engine On/Off button. It does the 3 beeps and the instrument panel indicates Accessory Mode.
It's possible to switch between ACC and regular cruise control.
Here is the page in the manual that explains how:
Maybe you inadvertently switched the mode.
As seen in screenshots in this thread from 2018 sedans, the latest version is 1.F1A1.25. "A" being the next digit after "9" in hexadecimal, it is a higher version. And it's compatible with sedans as it is the version that comes with 2018s.
Now, it's only a matter of being able to buy a stick or...
My windshield cracked following a rock impact in early May.
It's been 1 month and a half, Touring OEM windshields are still on back order nation wide in Canada according to my local glass company and my dealership.
As common as the Civic is in Canada, I'm pissed that it's this complicated to...
Do you have a USB drive with a lot of music connected in a port by any chance? I've had camera slowdowns before and disconnecting my USB drive solved the problem. Without a USB connected, the system and cameras are fast.
These days I use Google Play Music but eventually, I will try again with...
This is drastically different from the websites and magazines from where I am. The Civic has been chosen as the top car of its class and even top car of all classes by many.
Edit: And I just noticed we are both in Quebec. We must have read opposite publications.
In the auto mode, the climate control will select foot vents when heating and center vents when cooling. Side vents are always in use. It's possible to override the vent selection if you want.
The same principle applies no matter if the transmission is auto or manual. I drove manual for the last 7 years and I always drove down hills in gear to take advantage of DFCO and engine resistance.
To me, it's not even a question. I always coast in gear.
Coasting in gear means the engine uses zero fuel. Being in neutral would require some fuel to maintain idle. Added to the fact that being in gear adds some resistance that helps maintaining speed on a downgrade. I even put it in S...
Logically, most changes people hope for for the 10th gen would come in the mid cycle refresh. And I don't see the mid cycle refresh to come only after 2 model years (sedan / coupe) or even 1 model year (hatchback).
