  1. Trunk rattle noise

I had no luck with reproducing the rattle when driving with a tech today. I thought it was a constant but I think you are right. It must be temp dependent.
  2. After 6000 miles or 10,000 km i feel that everything rattles

I have 4k miles on mine. The only rattle I have that is loud and very noticeable to my ears is coming from the passenger rear trunk area. I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow for repair. My speakers rattle like crazy, my driver door is terrible at lower frequencies but I can live with that. The...
  3. Rattling noise

Thanks! I was waiting to read about someone with a similar issue to have mine resolved. I already know the dealer is more than likely going to tell me they can't replicate it and if so, now I at least have something they can do for me as a courtesy for purchasing a new car.
  4. Rattling noise

Was yours coming from the passenger side or drivers? I stuck my head in trunk while the gf drove and mine is definitely coming from the rear passenger side in the trunk behind the trim. I'm going to take mine to the dealer soon.
  5. Trunk rattle noise

I noticed this issue shortly after I bought my first one. I took it back the same day and they replaced it a month later with a newly built one. After 800 miles, the same issue pops up. What the fuck Honda. I hope you guys are able to get your issue resolved. I can already see frustration coming...
  6. EX-L vs. EX-T question

I probably still would have gotten sensing just because I've found immense value with blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, but the sensing features aren't really more valuable to have than those.
  7. EX-L w/wo/sensing vs. Touring

When I was haggling with them trying to bring it down further they admitted that it was a mistake. It was their internet pricing and that they emailed to me and they stuck to it. Truecar pricing here was $24.5k so maybe you can get a better deal with Truecar?
  8. EX-L w/wo/sensing vs. Touring

I paid $23.8k ($23k plus $835 frieght) plus tax and tags for my Touring. The main reason I went for the Touring was for the LED headlights. Great safety feature that should be offered as an option on every trim. The difference they make for night driving is incredible. Honestly, I don't think...
  9. Spotting other Civic owners on the road

I agree, the new coupe is a great looking car, imo. But there are hundreds of thousands of these cars sold every year. It's only eye catching until the road fills up with them, which it will because, well, it's a Civic. I'm a Honda fan so I bought one but you don't buy a Civic to stand out or...
  10. Spotting other Civic owners on the road

I can't believe people are complaining about not receiving props for owning a Civic. It's a freaking regular Civic, not something rare and exotic worthy of receiving attention. Drive it, enjoy it, and try not to care about what people think. If you want attention buy a Type R or something more...
  11. Rattling noise

We're you able to get this issue resolved? I think this is the same issue the first one I bought had. It was built 6/16 in Indiana. I took it back to the dealer immediately and turned in the keys. Hopefully the new one won't have this issue.
  12. Honda Civic Breaks All-Time July Sales Record

If Acura released a new RSX-S, I would buy one in a heartbeat. It doesn't even have to be a new design. Just bring back the exact same car sold in 2006, add a few safety enhancements and I'll pay to have a RSX-S with zero miles on it. If not that, then add the Civic SI with leather. That would...
  13. I will never ever never never never never never buy a first year production model!

The first one I got had some defect in the passenger rear that made a ton of noise when driving at speed. That one was built 6/2016 in Indiana. Only kept it for a couple hours before taking it back to the dealer.
  14. Rattle in dash

Definitely try to live with the rattles. I've been through this before, having gone through the frustration of having dealers refusing to acknowledge rattles or attempting fixes but making things worse and at times taking matters into my own hands. If there was something to learn from the...
  15. 2017 Rumor: Side view camera to be replaced with blind spot warning system.

The 2017 Accord Touring doesn't even have these features. It would be great if it came to the Civic though and would definitely make me regret purchasing a 2016.
  16. Getting cold feet after reading about infotainment issues

It's people like you that lower their expectations which leads to dealers lowering their level of service. I was just as surprised that I didn't have to fight for what I believed was the right thing for them to do in my case. I asked them what they could do for me, they offered. Great dealer...
  17. New Here? Introduce Yourself!

Hi all. I traded in a Mazda 3 Manual. Turns out I should have purchased a automatic so my girlfriend and family can drive when they need to. The Mazda was fun but the interior was pretty poor quality. I had a RSX-S before the Mazda that I loved so I wanted to stick with Honda, especially since...
  18. Getting cold feet after reading about infotainment issues

Yeah it was my first post but I'm just hoping my experience thus far can help this owner out. The dealer I bought from has gone above and beyond to ensure that I am satisfied with the car. The rattle was really bad. My passenger sat in the backseat and confirmed it. Definitely a defect...
  19. Getting cold feet after reading about infotainment issues

I purchased a 2016 Civic Touring last week that has a severe rattle coming from the rear passenger side. Both myself and my passenger heard the rattle on my drive home. I drove it back the same day and handed them the keys because I knew they would have to take the trim apart and I didn't want...
