10 month update
Car has been running amazing with no issues, over 5k miles on the “new” turbo. Big turbo Si is exactly what I wanted from modding my car. Perfect balance between being able to commute regularly and leaving the scene at a moments notice💀. Have had my fair share of “races” and I...
Update -
I have fully "broken" in the new turbo, and this car is a different monster and I've only been running 93, I may be uploading some dash cam footage once i have that set up again have been surprised with what cars I've been able to keep up and pass now. I can't imagine what e85 would...
Break in period is a must honestly I want to give the turbo some time to settle in before it starts working it’s 2 full time jobs under WOT for me 😂and good advice on checking the leaks that actually did not cross my mind and will be doing this as well. As for being smarter ? I’m not sure it’s a...
Finally an update…
Today I had my turbo installed my only loss was 2 turbo studs the DP studs thankfully were not broken as I actually overlooked getting replacements I recommend to those who do the swap to get some as cheap insurance. As of now I plan on doing an oil change tomorrow and also...
Sorry man I would have no clue my issues were related to the flex fuel kit , i am aware that low grade gas can increase knock but i also don't think it would behave the way you describe with the value jumping around heavily then back to normal (.49). Something seems off for sure
Can't say if it's a glitch for my issues I'm leaning more towards it being an issue with the ground bolt that had some rust under it when I first installed the kit and then later down the line somehow the rear o2 socket would slide out somehow on its own and that I believe gave me the issue my...
Anyone deal with this issue? If it even is one
I just replaced my flex fuel main harness due to the o2 rear sensor not being able to be clipped in properly and would have the knock control jump as high as 1.30 but now it’s been changed and on idle I see .48 about every 30 seconds or so and when...
Finally got the Spooly boy in, thanks VTT for the extra goodies now to get some new gaskets and other things for the install, looking to get everything on in the next month or so depending on how busy it keeps up
Good to hear it's been up and running for close to a year now and on different tunes. I did not want to spring for a "new" turbo with a high rate of failure as I've seen from another company:flame:
Thanks for the input and thats kind of what i wanted to hear, when i went e85 the car felt much different and hoping for the same experience on the butt dyno when i get the GC+ in. How long have you been running the turbo with e85?
Anyone with this turbo and Phearable OTS flex fuel tune? Just purchased one myself and looking for thoughts and opinions compared to stock turbo and e85
