  1. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Yea the purple is cool but I went with grey. It honestly wasn’t much more expensive than my trade. 46k on trade and 50k for the car. For the 4k difference, it was a lot more car. Had the CTR not been worth so much, then that’s definitely a different story.
  2. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

I personally didn’t but it’s a known thing. Most dealers charge a markup for CTRs. It’ll probably be worse for the new one too. When I bought mine, I had to travel roughly 300 miles away to the middle of no where to get a fair deal. Everyone near me had a 5-10k markup.
  3. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Yea, here is the rub, I need to navigate to and from work everyday. So having an infotainment that constantly froze, etc, was a dealbreaker. Especially since Honda doesn't have a fix and many with replacement units still have issues. There are lengthy threads about it here, and articles written...
  4. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Honestly, the horrific infotainment and lack of blind spot are what forced me to make a change. The complete unreliability of the infotainment when it something I depend upon every day was unacceptable in a 2021 model. Not to mention I go more than I paid on trade, it was a no brainer.
  5. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Yeah I definitely miss the brakes on the Type R but thats about it. I'm hoping that I can upgrade the brakes with a factory option that brings that gap a little closer. The rear leg room doesn't bother me. I don't usually have anyone in my back seat. My wife and I have no kids, and our second...
  6. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

I actually bought a new car last weekend. I took advantage of the inflated trade value while I still had it. Got close to 46k for mine in case anyone was wondering. Paid msrp for my new car - 2022 BMW m240i
  7. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Yea quite frankly, I'm not as in need of a manual as I once was. The reason for my choice were I felt it was the ultimate blend for a daily - fun, nice, and capable. AWD, almost 400hp, insanely nice interior space, options and features that I value. Lastly, my better half can drive it...
  8. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

I ended up trading my car in last weekend gents. 2022 BMW M240i
  9. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Thanks for the replies everyone. Here is the nitty gritty situation. I'm getting rid of the CTR regardless. While its a great car, I don't feel its worth the elevated price tag. I actually ordered a car back in December that still hasn't arrived yet. Given the used market on these has softened...
  10. Contemplating trading the Type R for the new Integra

Is anyone else considering trading in their Type R for the new Integra? Before you freak out, hear me out. 1) I don't track my car ever 2) I don't even drive aggressively 3) It'll still have a manual transmission which I greatly enjoy 4) It will have a nicer interior 5) The styling is more...

These have been sold. Thanks to everyone for their interest.
  12. Infotainment Failure

Pretty much the same experience here. It was the icing on the cake for me. I can deal with interior rattles, lack of blind spot, horrid factory wheel/tire combo, and non-adjustable drive modes. However, the one thing I depend on everyday to navigate to and from work has to work and be reliable...
  13. Pennsylvania For sale: Titan7 TS-5 18x9.5 Black w/center caps and Iconix lug nuts

I snapped some photos today. The inner barrel on a couple wheels have some small scratches. The center caps also have some scratches.

  15. 2020 FK8 - How can I remove the shift boot ?

For everyone looking to do this. Mine would not come off without damaging it no matter what technique I tried. So what I ended up doing was removing the boot from underneath. I removed the trim, lifted the boot, removed the zip tie, and was able to remove the collar that way. Do yourself a...
  16. Worth exposing my minty 17' R to winter driving?

I am putting my winter wheels/tires on the Type R this weekend. I'll absolutely daily it. Granted, I am getting rid of it in a few months but, I would otherwise as well. If I felt this were a collectors item that would be a different story. However, with so many made and an LE version, I can't...
  17. Cost to Replace: SGP FK8 Rear Bumper?

I used to be an auto damage adjuster and that $1600 doesn't sound unreasonable for a total cost. The shop is going to have a few hours in just disassembly and reassembly. In Boston I wouldn't be surprised if the hourly rate is $100+ per hour. Next you have the cost of the bumper itself. If...
