Okay cool I'll check that out. Any suggestions on tires/good sites for research on them? Its bad enough to where even when I accelerate from a roll they still like to slip once the power kicks in.
Sounds good to me! It never happens when I give the throttle a deeper stab like you recommended when I asked about the lag so that's good. Anyways it's been great and I still get surprised when I really press down when going onto a highway or something. It really is so much better.
I hope this isn't the wrong place to ask this, but I started noticing it after I tuned. Sometimes when I accelerate from a stop the car moves forward a bit, suddenly lurches, and continues smoothly from there. I think this pretty much only happens when I try to accelerate slowly. I have been...
Okay, I'll have to try digging in a bit more down low. I mean it's already better than untuned, as before I'd have to wait like 2 seconds before it would give me some power to really get going.
You're right about this tune at higher rpm though, I couldn't believe how much more power I was...
Thank you guys for the help, I really appreciate it. I'm going to snag a KTuner tonight, I can't wait to finally tune my Civic! I'll make sure to post my data here after I use it for a bit.
Okay great, that's good to hear. I've been wanting to tune mine for awhile but have been worried about the reliability of the CVT.
Are there similar tunes that protect the CVT with Hondata? I was planning on getting that, but if there are better options I am open to them.
Thanks for the help!
I wanted to ask about this, but with the CVT transmission. Is there too much risk tuning a 1.5T hatchback CVT? I have heard they can't take as much abuse as the manuals. Sorry if it's a dumb/common question, I'm a noob but this thread is helping a lot.
