That was my biggest complaint with the civic before I tuned it. If I put my foot down and increased the throttle I wasn't completely sure when I'd get the acceleration. The tune pretty much eliminates that completely and makes me feel way more comfortable on the highway.
I don't think I'd be...
So if you're going the KTuner first, this is what you would get. I remembered prices wrong, they're $450 actually, sorry. If you want the Phearable tune...I'm going to explain things as if you're wanting their tune, since it's what I'm familiar with. If you want TSP Tune then you can go through...
I got the Phearable stage 1.5 tune for my civic and the difference is night and day. Way better throttle response, less turbo lag, and the car just freaking flys. I think it's about a 38hp increase and 74tq (a little less for us CVT owners to put less stress on the transmission.) Tuning is...
I have had my hatch for less than a year, and am kind of in the same boat. Never modded a car before this one and it's been a blast so far. If I were you, I would start off with a KTuner for the first mod. I would buy a KTuner from either TSP (Two Step Performance) or Phearable's website since...
Check out this thread for a bit more info on what S mode does. I wouldn't really call it a sport mode, I think it really just gives you more control when in hilly terrain? It does allow you to use the paddle shifters without the computer taking over and switching gears for you.
Installed my Suma Performance Side Markers, after having them sit in the garage for a week. Absolutely love the brightness, and fit. The sequential turn signal is pretty freaking sweet too. Install wasn't too bad, I just had to watch two videos on which cables to splice. If you're looking at...
Tuned my car with the classic KTuner/Phearable 1.5 combo. Absolutely loving the tune, and loving the civic even more. Never had a car I could mod like this and it has been a blast. Next on my list is either tint or PRL intake.
Thanks for the link, I read through the instructions so many times and just did not understand what switching would look like. It wasn't until I was driving around after trying to switch, and saw my RPMs were "stuck" at 1000 on the tachometer. Then it clicked and I understood.
So I figured out my issue. With the instructions it says when you're selecting a map, it will show either 1, 2, or 3 on the tachometer. I thought the tachometer was the whole display and not just the RPMs, so when you change maps your "RPMs" will jump between 1, 2, or 3. So now I'm on map 3 with...
