I have just a sport hatch (2021) and for some reason my first gear does the same thing. It isn’t all the time, but to fix it I have to shift into any other gear then back into first.
feels almost like it is the gear shift itself is catching on something *shrugs*
The FK8 is going to be the name of the specific engine used in the type-r, which is different compared to all other civic 10th gen engines.
wikipedia has a pretty good breakdown :)

I know I am late to the party here BUT I use apps like “GetUpside” to help give me money back. It doesn’t help upfront, but overtime it can help a tiny bit.
I also have T-Mobile and every Tuesday they give customers an extra$.5-.10 off per gallon. Ironically, on 2/22/22 (when prices were...
So my civic is my first ever new car, first direct injected car, first car with nitrogen tires, and first manual transmission car. I live in the Southern US, but temps are expected to start getting near or under freezing very shortly.
Is there anything specific I need to do to prepare my car...
Hmm depends really.
Something with a stick: GT86 or BRZ
Something like a hatch: GTI
Something sporty and Japanese: Toyota Camry TRD
Something American and “loud”: Camaro
Something European and fun: Mini Cooper
Something to spend an insane amount of money on: Porsche GT3 RS
<3
I will counter and say Toyota ended up pushing the development for the GT86 which is basically that, “fun car to drive.”
I do agree though that EPA standards are probably part of the issue. I would love to see ways to make my civic more efficient even as I get phenomenal gas mileage, but alas...
When I purchased this car I figured it will probably be my last chance to buy a manual car and gasoline powered car. Definitely keeping it and I probably will end up with an electric for my next vehicle.
Was more rhetorical than anything, but you’re right. Sadly, car companies listen more tO analytics now a days. Alas, I shall love my manual while I have it ^_^
Watching the NASCAR race and just saw the new Toyota Camry TRD. I respect the street model has a V6 in it, but what happened to the manual? Sad seeing manuals disappearing more and more in the states ?
It drives me up a wall. Like torrential downpour, past dusk, roads are glassy looking, and people still find the reasoning to not turn on their headlights XD
I have 45s on mine and absolutely love it. I get people like the darker tints and all, but just something to consider :)
I have been in cars that have like 15%ish and I am not a huge fan of the reduced visibility. Unfortunately, where I live it is all too common for people to be driving without...
Few different small things as of late. Got my new custom license plate from the state this week, new Bosch windshield wipers, renewing my car wash subscription, and got a new key chain from my favorite auto YouTuber <3
Definitely worth looking outside your normal area. You may also wish to check with the financial institution you are using for the car to attempt to find a car.
I ended up driving a solid 70 miles to get mine, but was worth it as they didn't put a markup on the vehicle.
