I've actually driven one of those, owned by a good friend, at a track day, and completely agree. He has essentially given up on using it as a daily driver, and thankfully, can afford to do so having three cars, currently.
I would absolutely love an AWD M3, but they did not offer that option until the later series, beginning in 2021, and those go for about $80k used. $20k above my budget. :(
As the title says. I'm interested in your thoughts on what car you would choose if you were to upgrade from your Type R as a daily driver/fun car. Let's say a budget, buying used, up to $60k, which covers a LOT of ground with some sensational automobiles. Ideally, something with AWD but not...
I've had multiple cars with PS4's, and certainly have nothing but good things to say about them. I've also fairly extensively driven a car with Pilot Sport All Seasons. I;ve found a better tire choice than either for most purposes and have them on not only my Type R, but also just put them on my...
Due to the poor condition of so many roads here in Michigan, shortly after purchasing my 2021 Type R, I replaced the wheel with a set of Montegi 18x9.5's, and they have been excellent. After taking the recommendations from several helpful forum members, I have been extremely happy with the...
I wasn't actually sure you could turn off emergency braking. How do you do that?
But, I can't imagine that was the issue, as I would have seen the big yellow indicator pop up?
I was out in the countryside enjoying the sporting capabilities of the Type R. After utilizing it's performance quite sucessfully on some distant backroads, I went to pass a group of motorhomes, trucks towing boats etc. As I was blowing past the group, I believe in as I was accelerating in 3rd...
I originally bought my Type R this year as an interim car. However, the longer I've driven it, the more attached I have gotten to this wonderful machine.
My current problem is, that I have no choice but to sell off one of my two vehicles. Both of which are of very high quality. I dearly want...
Sure, maybe a bit faster but as plain looking as a econobox rental car! Thank god I bought one this year before they changed from having styling to zero styling.
I've been driving the car, completely untouched, since July to get to know it. I intend to continue that for quite a while yet. All of which I mentioned previously!
I just ordered the only other remaining set of these Montegi's, and the Continental Extreme Contact DWS Plus 255-40-18 from Discount Tire yesterday afternoon. They will go on my matching gray car. Can't wait to try them out. These wheels and tires seriously drop unsprung weight on the vehicle...
Just looked them up, planning to order them from Tire rack, but they say the Montegi MR146 won't fit my Type R???
I can't make any sense of this. Previously, about a month back, I even had them, plus the tires in my cart and all was okay. They also appear to be on closeout.
I previously talked...
Thanks a lot for posting this. I have the same color Type R, and those are literally the exact same wheels and tires that I wanted to go with. I only held off because supposedly knowledgeable people told me the 45mm offset would be a problem with torque steering, and that the 18x9.5 wheels would...
