I've actually driven one of those, owned by a good friend, at a track day, and completely agree. He has essentially given up on using it as a daily driver, and thankfully, can afford to do so having three cars, currently.

I wasn't actually sure you could turn off emergency braking. How do you do that? But, I can't imagine that was the issue, as I would have seen the big yellow indicator pop up?
