That isn't awful if its @ 40-50K. If anything ask for it to be done whenever you purchase / have them pay for it during your first service. CVTs are a little more forgiving than say the 8-10Speed transmissions Honda uses now in the Pilots and such. Those are very finicky and is key to have those...
Those are codes for EVAP leaks. P0455 is a very small EVAP leak and P0456 is for a large EVAP leak. If you can provide me with the VIN, I can do a VIN inquiry and see if your Civic falls under the fuel pump recall. Thanks!
Here's a flow-chart, pretty much saying to check your evap canister hoses, making sure all connections are tight and nothing is broken. I'd say for your mileage, should not have a failed canister so soon.
And can you write your vin? Going to see if there's any recalls. I think I found your issue, what a previous post stated. Check your EVAP Canister for a loose hose / or other vacuum lines that can be loose
Give me a call on discord or however you can, we can dig into this further. Discord is HecticStunner#1766 or let me know how else we can communicate. I am going to see what I can find for service bulletins and such.
And I understand you tried a different battery, but make sure you had a tight connection with the new battery. I would also try maybe a battery again. Post some videos and see If i can be of any help.
Also any prior issues before this happened? Like was it cranking slowly each day until it...
I would check for some chewed up wires, or the very unlikely, a bad pcm/ecm. Check for rodent's nests or any signs of rodents. They love chewing wires.
That is not recommended to run it through the intake, as that will cause the chemical to run through the turbo and can cause damage. The way you would want to do it is from the intake manifold; there is a hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake manifold in the back where it is located...
Hey, fellow STL guy here as well haha, sadly just a FK7, but I was the only one to show up amongst the other 5 people with AWD to come into work lmao. They didn't have any faith in my car but I made it relatively fine haha
Considering the CTR comes with factory drilled rotors, yeah I'd avoid them regardless. Good thing you didn't get them to do it. And any reputable repair shop can do brake jobs. I personally do them myself since I do work at a shop. If you're doing all four corners, I'd take it to a Honda shop...
Tires don't look to bad on it, little bid wider than stock (225/50s instead of 215/50s) and with the D2 or even TruHarts, I can get a ~2" drop and have a flush fit. Need to take some pictures in AM. Spent a good while at work today with all the work I've done.
I have found service information for this, attempt this procedure if you are comfortable with it, no tools required, just make sure you put them in the correct spot and follow directions: the link to it is here...
Got some 2012 Civic Si wheels, (17x7s) and have four new tires sitting at work waiting to be put on, then doing some brake resurfacing, change out the fluid and then lube up all brake hardware. Got a Type-R style wing in the trunk waiting to be put on and some debadging possibly. Quite the chore...
Quite an interesting situation... have not seen any come in for that. Can you give me your trim level and engine size? Going to see if I can find anything on Honda's website.
So after getting ahold of Crutchfield, they will be sending me a new XVSI-1731-NAV device, we might be onto the idea that the current one is bad. We went over all my work, and have everything correctly wired in. Praying it's just that, because it will suck if it isn't the case. Hopefully I can...
Hey guys so recently I purchased my 2018 Civic Hatch Sport 6MT and upgraded my stock head unit (LX style, 5" screen). After connecting all the wires and harnesses got put back together, I come to find out that with the 6MT, you need to have a trigger signal for reverse... at least that is what I...
