Hey all:
Winter is coming, and I'm looking for wheels and tires for my 2021 Sedan Sport. I found a good deal on a set of 16" alloy wheels from a 2007 Civic. They of course have the same bolt pattern, but is there anything else that would prevent them from fitting the 2021?
Thanks!
I resorted to zip ties, there doesn't seem to be any flat area close enough to stick them to. I tried sticking them to a curved surface, but they fell off after a few weeks.
Good news! I shaved off some plastic from both connectors and swapped them. They still "click" in and stay in securely, but I now have my Android Auto USB port (and I assume Car Play) in the center console where it's easily accessible and the phone doesn't rattle all over the place. The...
For the record, it's usually when I'm having a conversation with the passenger and looking at the road instead of the speedo, and following the car upfront. Some will still call it being distracted I guess.
When I was working for the CIA, this is what we used to install the GPS tracker in cars.
I AM KIDDING. Could this be a tool used by Honda to install "something", either at the factory, or at the dealership if you bought accessories with your car? May have been left in the car by mistake.
Or...
I could see a use for this in some cases. On long drives, especially when the road is nice and smooth, I sometimes catch myself doing 10-20km/h over what I initially aimed for. It would be incredibly irritating if set too low though.
Update: I tried again in the car last night with 3 different cables and no luck. The only USB port that works is the one buried under the audio system. The one from the center console compartment only charges the phone.
Time to take out the utility knife (and Band-Aids most likely LOL).
I got in (late) on the AAWireless orders. I don't expect mine until a few months so I'd like to have something in the meantime.
I have the Sport Sedan. I had tried it initially and it seems to half connect but android auto never works. Maybe I should try a different cable.
So I hate the location of the USB port that is compatible with Android Auto. I would very much prefer having it inside the center console where it's much easier to access, the phone is hidden, etc. Of course, the USB port inside the console is only to charge the phone.
I took a quick glance...
Yes, I could do that. But I tried the simplest way yesterday, which is what @Richsvt suggested: Just fasten the seatbelt on an empty seat. It doesn't cause any faults, not sure what would happen with the airbag in a crash. I guess at that point I'd have bigger problems!!
