  1. What are these parts under rear bumper? (2020 Sport Hatchback)

Had a minor rear-end collision recently, and after I got my repaired car back (with a new bumper and hatch), I happened to notice these pieces at the bottom of the bumper which I'm fairly certain were not there before (and the right one has notches on it, while the left one is smooth). Do these...
  2. A new - better Direct TPMS system

Would be nice if these had a "calibration" feature that would let you manually adjust up or down to match a known-accurate gauge.
  3. A new - better Direct TPMS system

I picked up one from Amazon, and they read 1psi low (compared by my gauge, which of course might itself be incorrect), but at least they are all off by the same amount. I'm not terribly concerned about it, I just want to be able to have a way to keep an eye on my tire pressure without checking...
  4. Please help, I think I'm crazy( lanewatch issue)

Yes, there's definitely an "aiming" routine that must be done on a newly replaced camera assembly (if you don't do it, it does't even show a picture, just gives an error message). It involves placing a target in a certain position relative to the car, and running the aiming routine on the head...
  5. Anyone upgrade to 2020 Hatchback sport?

I "sidegraded" from 2018 EX Hatchback to a 2020 Sport Hatchback, primarily because I'd come to like the sensing features that my wife's 2019 Sport Sedan has, and also the leather armrests & steering wheel make for more comfortable driving. I never used the heated mirrors, and very rarely used...
  6. Stolen airbag from my 2018 Hatch :(

I think they must come with auto-lock disabled by default... I've bought four 10th gen Civics, and I had to go in and enable it for all of them.
  7. A new - better Direct TPMS system

Do you need to rebalance after installing these caps?
  8. Cargo mat for hatch

Yeah, stuff slides around quite a bit.
  9. AC not showing on or off on infotainment screen?

Yes, that is normal behavior, a useful feature. It allows you to manually override elements of the climate control system while leaving the others under auto control. For instance, I like mine to be on the dash and foot vents, but the auto system seems to usually select just the upper vents...
  10. AC not showing on or off on infotainment screen?

I believe that indicates the ac is on automatic... the compressor will run at the level needed to achieve the temperature selected, or will shut off completely if it’s not needed (cold outside).
  11. Anyone running iOS 12 beta?

I've read spotty reports about CarPlay trouble (specifically, disconnecting when the car is put in reverse or when climate, radio, etc. info is displayed), but was hoping to find out if these problems apply to the Civic.
  12. Replace original 2 year old battery as a precaution?

I tested the battery with the load tester over the weekend, and it's still strong... I'm going to test again before she leaves in August, and if it's marginal, I'll replace it. Otherwise, she'll be back home every few months to visit, so I'll test then as well. Worst case, she does have...
  13. Replace original 2 year old battery as a precaution?

I went ahead and ordered one of those battery load testers, so I’ll see how it looks.
  14. Replace original 2 year old battery as a precaution?

Sounds like a battery tester might be a good thing to have on hand... might buy one. On Amazon and Harbor Freight I see some in the $20-$30 range that are clearly load testers (metal casings with air vents for the resistors) with analog meters, and other more compact and high-tech models that...
  15. Replace original 2 year old battery as a precaution?

Ah, thanks... that's very helpful. I guess my fear is that my experience (at least in recent years) with batteries going bad is that it seems like a very sudden thing... one day the battery is working fine, the next day it's completely dead. But if a load test will reveal a weakening battery...
  16. How many miles REALLY left after low fuel light?

Perhaps one way to find out would be to drive until it reaches zero, then fill the tank to determine how much fuel was still left (in other words, if the tank holds 12.4 gallons, and you put 11.8 in, you had .6 remaining. Assuming all that fuel is usable (and assuming that potentially running...
  17. Lane watch photos?

Also, I spotted a big flaw in how I confirmed that my re-aiming of the 2016 was roughly correct. It’s hard to put into words concisely... the battery placed on the driveway lines up with the red line, making me think that it was reasonably accurate, but the fact that this object is on the...
  18. Lane watch photos?

This is not the 2016 EX-T that I replaced / re-aimed the camera (but it’s a hatchback, not a sedan)... hopefully it helps. As you can see, when the red line is on the vehicle in the other lane, it’s within a few feet of your back bumper.
  19. Lane watch photos?

I'm pretty sure the red line should correspond with the bumper (or maybe just beyond it), definitely not the center of the rear tire.
