Have to say THANK YOU for this. Deer ran into my car and had to have the door replaced. Got it back and the whistle at 40mph+ was driving me crazy. Searched high and low for answers and came cross this post. Decided to take a stab at it and sure enough, got everything apart and saw the opening...
Might have to try those louvres, didnāt have any luck with the blackout on the chrome for my window visors. Think I can make the front work. But that big piece I tried several times. Could just buy the pieces in black but at $100/each Iāll live with it!
Last 2 cars were:
2010 Prius III
2014 Prius III with Solar Roof
Here in Northern Virginia the Prius let me use HOV lanes for commuting, but they finally got rid of that allowance so I bought myself the 2021 Civic since I really only had the Prius for the exception. I get less fuel economy...
My seats don't move on their own. They do have that in the 2021 Pilot (I think it is the SE) depending on the key in your pocket, but not the Civic EX. Possibly the touring?
5 years with a CRV-EX and my wife's 2014 Pilot is 7 years (just hit 100k) with no leak. My last car was a Toyota with 90k...
Did mine and took it off. Couldn't get the edges to look clean though I did get it without bubbles. I'll call the tint place and see what they'd charge, otherwise probably just order the OEM visors with chrome and not worry about it.
Did you get glossy or matte? I need to figure out what to do with mine. Have the jetsvinyl just need to install it. Was thinking those louvres but remember when I was a kid those were huge and on the back window itself.
Otherwise I can pay the tint shop to do it, though at this point I may just...
Slowly making mods, got the windows tinted, OEM black emblems, rear bumper applique, weathertech liners, smoked side markers, procivic window visors to be installed... thinking OPT7 brake lights.
The front is the one with the clips, so it will almost defintely break unless you do it by removing the grill, and ultimately the clips. The back one is held on with adhesive, though it still has the posts to make sure it's aligned/centered/etc. so you should be able to remove it without...
This. They just ran a deal last weekend, sign up for a coupon code. Works great, and super easy. Pricey but the kit/method works well and can be a near flawless application.
I just put in the smoked side markers today and almost went clear... those look pretty good. Also liking those red accents inside, good to see them in a real car, may have to order those next ?
Tried to do the procivic chrome delete so I can finally install the window visors but no go, even with the replacement ones they sent. Just too small and stretching to fit meant bubbles and weird ripples. Ordered some Jets Vinyl to try again, but have to wait to put the window visors I guess...
