I paid sale tax when I purchase the car from Missouri for documents purposes. After everything is signed, dealership cut me a check for the sale tax. When registering at CA DMV, DMV staff just took the check (from the dealer, sale tax). End up getting a back some $, due to over paying the sale...
It's really difficult to find one at MSRP in California. I would just use github app and call dealership from there.

Yes agree, I gave up my search for a MSRP in California. Had to flew to Missouri and drive back the CTR.

Mungenast St. Louis Honda @ MSRP. Picked up 6.12 and drove back to Cali 6.17. Smog & CA plate same day. First time learning manual as well, palm sweaty first couple of hour, but easy car to drive. Well worth the money @ MSRP.
I emailed every single dealership in cali (this past couple of week) avg 5-10k markup. lowest i gotten was 3.7k ADM. Ended up putting 1k deposit for an out of state CTR. Out of state is best choice for those who live in cali, mark up could drop in next couple of months, who know. But production...
