@redrhappy to see that you are still moving forward and DASH Autosports is always happy to support you. To everyone else here that doesn't know, we still have our FK8 Civic Type R racecard, but it has been undergoing big changes including built engine, mhi turbo, TCR carbon endurance fuel cell...
I understand the concern with them being small pins but the small amount of leverage the pins have on them, in combination with friction of 2 metal plates torqued against themselves, and the fact that we have installed many of these on track cars with no failures in the pins, I have no concerns...
I find that hard to believe. We use DS3.12 on many different cars, M2, M4, our Civic Type R race car for spring and Enduro, RS3 LMS TCR, etc. Zero brake fade on any. The benefit of the 3.12 is they handle alot of heat and keep bite consistent through the heat range. I have never had a...
I personally am not a complete fan of OEM Brembo brakes on many cars, other than a few that come with a more motorsport oriented Brembo. I think many companies use these calipers as a selling point of the name, but as I say often, not all Brembo are created equal. We had pretty decent luck...
looking good @REDRAGN , seems some of your pics aren't loading, for me anyway. I will be working on a template to offer with hood vents to help with getting placement correct.
A setup like this will allow more rotation on corner entry and allow the rear to set around apex for good control out of the corner. common alignment on a car with limited adjustment.....when having spring rate and damper adjustment available then you can achieve the results in a different manner.
I have a business that does work on street driven cars as well.. I don't tell how to disable it because it also disables the Safety Restraint System as i stated before. I don't publicly tell how to disable it do to that fact. You are correct, it isn't FBI top secret, a little research and...
I don't mention it publicly because it fully disables SRS, I don't recommend the method without full race safety system, cage or half cage, race seat, 5/6 point harness, etc.
I think you have something wrong here, possibly tire pressure too low or just plain overdriving the traction available. It is hard to imagine that you would wear to the cords the outer edge at 4° camber. Our road race car we run 3.4° to 3.7° camber at most tracks and run 8+hr endurance races...
in our track testing, even on Type R in +R, holding the button for 5 seconds till VSA completely off message appears, the VSA is still not totally off, in some scenarios you can still feel it activating and have seen it pull throttle still on data. Doing the above sequence puts the car in...
I was the fabricator and driver at USR for years, now with my own company Dash Autosports. That is my Si, we have a CTR race car as well. The tow hooks for the CTR will fit the Si as well and any other 10th gen civic that has an aluminum front crash bar, I can not confirm for other models.
is it overpriced because quality components are used and properly assembled lines are done for you, as well as all the R&D work done to be sure it fits and can be installed by a customer? I don't currently offer anything intended for a customer to install. I am a build shop and generally build...
around $5425 with tax, this includes front quick disconnects for reservoirs, front camber plates, rear upper mounts, rear spring perches, 4 custom rate eibach springs, 4 helper springs with collars. About $1k cheaper for 2-way non remote
