Does anyone recommend a plan outside of Fidelity? Tried getting in touch with them, but there may be too big of a gap between when the sale was official and when I actually got the car. I stupidly thought I would have to wait until I had the vehicle in my possession before I could get the...
Finally took delivery of my BB yesterday that I ordered out of state, so I can actually officially post about my deal now. Ordered from East Coast Honda in Mrytle Beach. They initially wanted $7k over and I basically wrote them off. They then came back and said they would knock $2k off to...
I just got off the phone with someone at the CA DMV and they said I don't need to smog the car. Seems to go against everything I've read here. Was the rep just uninformed?
Is the Fidelity plan mentioned in this thread still good? https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/wheel-protection-plan.51356/
My CTR is arriving in about a week and a half so I need to start shopping around for plans.
I got my Boost Blue from East Coast Honda in SC. They initially wanted 5k markup, but then came down to MSRP. Not sure if it was due to being the last day of the month and quarter, but got it at MSRP nonetheless.
Thanks for the insight as this whole experience is new to me. Never realized that it could be up to a week (which makes the delay caused by the dealer a tad more annoying). I have definitely kept in touch with my broker and will continue to do so.
For anyone that had their car shipped, how long after the first available date did you normally end up waiting before getting in touch with a carrier through a broker? Mine's been available since yesterday morning and not a peep.
For anyone that had it shipped, what did you do to ensure the car was in good shape before being shipped out? Obviously you can’t do a thorough walkthrough/inspection when not there in person. Just trying to make sure I don’t get screwed in case there are a few minor dings.
This is pretty solid advice. You definitely don't want a dealer doing your PPF. Even if a car has been sitting on a showroom the entire time, there's no telling what they did before putting it there as far as wash and prep process. It's pretty guaranteed that the car you get will have swirls...
When they inspect the car at the DMV do they care about your tint percentage and lack of front license plate, etc.? What exactly do they do when they inspect it?
