I have some parts for sale that have all been on the car for less than two months as I purchased most things in April/May and only bought the Honda in March. All parts come with only around 800 miles or less through them (estimate around 500-600 miles) as I barely move the car and it's only seen...
What a pain in the bum. I'd already have my eyes on another car, I can't stand it when they actually break down and won't drive.
I agree with the immobiliser issue suggestion. Can't you run a diagnostic via the OBD port?
Sticky buttons need to be removed and contacts cleaned with isopropanol...
My last Nismo was the 370Z, very decent drivers car. I had a 350Z before that too.
If they sort out the horrible front end on the 400Z I may put my name down. The front doesnt match the rear, too many attemps at including older Z influences in my opinion.
Here she is approaching the track entry...
Underneath at the front behind the undertray at the drivers side isn't a transportation hoop it's the front towing point (hoop). Words from a Honda dealership to my ears.
Using a 4m long tow rope attached to this tow-ring and towed at a height of 0.5M/500mm/50cm there is no contact made with...
It might be something that only leaks when under higher oil pressure when the oil is hot and also thinner, something as simple as a sensor gasket etc.
Try adding the dye, then get booked into a garage so they can investigate.

If you aren't mechanically inclinded, it is easy enough to monitor oil useage. Keep an eye on your dipstick. No not that one, the engine dipstick :D
-Agree with stockSi regards the dye. Inexpensive to buy and add yourself, the dye kits usually come with a UV torch too so you can trace the source of the leak. This would save you booking dealer visits.
Re: warranty, in the UK if the issue is pre-existing/on-going and the dealer can't fix the...
I would say 'hate' is a strong word for any car owned as I simply wouldn't own it. The last car I bough I didn't like I sold after driving it twice, didn't hate it though.
I'm more than impressed with the front wheel drive wizardry and I can achieve mild oversteer which pleases me, but if...
Brake pad retaining springs?
Brake disc splash guards/shields?
You need to jack the car up and spin the wheels by hand.
Imagine how much money you could make if you could diagnose weird sounds from viewing a video clip..................I'm sure I heard a cat meow on the second vid, is it trapped...
Agreed.
On the hondata options (in the flashpro software) my aftermarket intake (mishimoto) is seen as equal to the stock version so no changes are made with the software. This leads me to believe my power gains = 0.
Aftermarket panel filter in stock box is Hondata's choice (check youtube...
It's not too difficult to run a permanent live via a swich and relay to the fans so you can overide the thermistors/thermostats when you feel the need to. I'm not too sure if this will help though as it's likely they will be running on full chat due to temps anyway. A larger radiator/fan would...
The civic is a drivers car and is bought on its ability to handle at pace. There is minimal loss of power through the drivetrain, and strong reliability for a performance car. There are plenty more powerful cars with RWD/AWD, but they weigh more so don't get through the twisties as quick. I'm...
I can't see where to attach a tow eyelet on the front of my Civic. The manual points to a tow hook that should be accessable/visible through the air dam on the drivers side, but it also states that this isn't on all models. With the bumper off I can't see anywhere obvious at all. I've measured...
Ah thanks, I didn't realise that's what they were. I've seen some J's racing front/rear hooks but at £350 they seem steep considering a 3000kg rated strap is only £20.
Is the oem tow-hook thread size an M18 do you know?
I'm feeling inclined to buy a pair of straps and bolt those were the factory...
