got that done and changed the rear shocks.
I should've said in the first post that I have hauled some decent weight on the back due to a hitch rack and moving cross country. Definitely more weight that I really should've had on there.
Hopefully this solves the problem because I don't want to...
Did KYB rear shocks yesterday. Pretty easy but the lower shock bolt was a pain in the ass. Didn't have clearance to get a power tool in there, the spring didn't give enough clearance to use a ratcheting wrench so I used a box end about 1/5 turn at a time. LOL.
Now I need to tackle the fronts...
This is from the passenger side rear tire. It's also happening on the driver side rear tire but much less. This is on the inside of the tire.
What should I be looking out for? There's no play in the hub. I did the 12-6 and 3-9 tugs. Nothing is loose or seems abnormal.
There are reasons why I haven't mentioned the Uhaul and tow the Civic option:
1. trucks are really expensive going to Florida one way, $3,200 now
2. I have to put the majority of stuff into storage here, no use for the majority of my stuff in Florida as I'll be living with friends
3. I don't...
No passengers, it's just me and some clothing.
Maybe I'll look at the open trailer like this:
https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/4x7-Utility-Trailer-Rental/FS/
It's not like the bicycles can't get wet. According to the Uhaul site, the enclosed 4x8 is 850 pounds empty while the open 4x7 cargo is...
Who has done it? I'm moving but leaving the majority of my household stuff in a storage unit until it's convenient to come back for it. I'm staying with friends so I won't be able to move too much stuff, no need for furniture, fridge, washer, dryer, etc.
However, the stuff I will be moving such...
Called my local Honda dealer and gave them my VIN. It was a VIN within the range of the TSB but since my car has a rebuilt title, they said it wasn't eligible to be covered.
Not sure why that makes a difference as the car is insured, on the road and has a rebuilt title from a state saying it's...
jtrader,
Thank you for the link. You are awesome!
Perhaps I'll try a recharge first and see what happens. Even if I have to recharge every year for the rest of the time I own the car, that would be cheaper than replacing some of those components.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against making car...
Spoke to Honda in El Paso this morning and they said my vehicle would not be covered even though it's in the range of VINs because it has a rebuilt title.
Does that sound right? I mean, the car was bought with a rebuilt title and is currently running so I don't see why they'd want to not cover...
If your car has a rebuilt title, will Honda still honor a faulty condenser?
2 weeks ago on a drive from El Paso to Florida, I noticed the air wasn't blowing cold and there wasn't much volume of air.
Was driving today and same thing. Ended up turning the AC off for about 10 minutes and then...
I just finished a round trip from El Paso-Tampa and average was about $4.85 for my trip.
When does it get to the point where people start picketing and protesting?
Drove 1,700 miles home and the CEL stayed on, no affect on mileage during the road trip. Ended up with a 40.3 average by the time I got home.
Looked at the fuel point and there was no visible damage. Car drove fine so I disconnected the negative battery terminal to reset the system. CEL has not...
Holy shit! That is pricey!
Do you need that much capacity? The reason I ask is because, unless you have a center mounted exhaust, you would get by much cheaper with a hitch ($140 from etrailer) and a Harbor Freight ATV cargo carrier ($60). You would need an adapter since the hitch is available...
