Did a road trip this weekend and noticed the beep when a car is detected (or not detected) wasn't sounding when using ACC in my 2015 Touring. The system itself was working fine - just didn't notice the beeping.
Can the beep be turned on and off?
Not sure this is just a 2020 and above problem.
I have a 2016 Touring and my #1 complaint about it has been overall CarPlay compatibility. It has been better as of late but early on it was horrible. My ultimate solution was a head unit placement and an update to the firmware after that. I...
4-5 hours seems like the high end. Mine was more in the 2-3 hours range. It certainly was not a 10-minute operation. I just left my car at the shop in the morning, Lyft-ed back to work, and it was done in the afternoon.
FYI...I had to have my windshield replaced twice as the first time they...
If the goal is to listen to SiriusXM content and use CarPlay maps - couldn't you use the SiriusXM app by way of CarPlay to accomplish this?
I am not going to pretend that the SiriusXM app is the greatest CarPlay experience (it is not) but it works. I canceled my SiriusXM subscription about six...
Ironically I had the windshield replaced in my 2016 Touring yesterday. And I am also a State Farm customer.
They (State Farm) do cover the recalibration too - at least in my situation, they did.
However, with that said, I traded a new windshield for just about every one of the safety features...
I personally do not have access to an Android device but I am sure I have a buddy who does. I'll see what I can do.
How can I tell if it is a 2017 device?
I have Ver.1.F197.00 now - up from Ver.1.F190.25
And yes, they did replace it out of warranty (although it was barely out of warranty not that that matters I know)
I have been complaining to the dealer about my CarPlay compatibility since I took delivery of my 2016 Touring so there was a lot...
Update to my love/hate relationship with CarPlay in my 2016 Civic Touring. There are other threads here that go into all the gory details of the CarPlay saga that started with iOS 10.
FINALLY, got Honda to sit up and take notice. After mentioning the CarPlay issues I have had from Day 1 every...
I have had all kinds of issues with CarPlay from day 1 of taking ownership of my 2016 Touring. But lately, and especially with the public betas and now release of iOS 13, things have been pretty solid. Still have an issue here and there but nowhere near the level I had maybe even a year ago...
Are you asking for Wireless CarPlay support or are you looking to have your phone start playing music via Bluetooth when you get in the car? Those are two separate things.
The Wireless CarPlay thing would be a nice to have for sure. I'd argue the capability really is not there - certainly not...
Can’t explain it but things magically starting working while I was at my son’s baseball practice.
And when I got home and saw the garage button show up on CarPlay - you’d have sworn men from Mars had landed. Super cool!
Thanks for talking me off the ledge.
Thanks for the comments / questions
If you mean do I have an Apple TV or a HomePad or an iPad then the answer is I have all three.
I have 4 Apple TVs and 1 HomePod that all show up as "Hubs" in the Home app on my iPhone - one shows as "Connected" and the others are all on "Standby." I am...
I've had a LiftMaster Wifi enabled opener for 1-2 years and it works great. Over the weekend I installed the LiftMaster myQ HomeKit bridge. The installation / setup appears to go great and I was able to open and close my garage door using Siri. All seemed good...
...until I left my home Wifi...
You will find out soon enough :)
Several years ago, when I had a 92 (?) Acura Integra, my air conditioning stopped working. I took it to the dealer and waited for it in the customer waiting area which was pretty close to where the advisors sat. Sometime later a technician come out and says...
