  1. Rust on the underbody after six years [photos included]

2020 Hatch Sport here with 75ish-thousand miles in Buffalo, NY. I get mine undercoated with Krown every fall. Mine looks similar to your photos, but a tad better lol. I have the rust around the welds on the subframe, but my body itself is absolutely mint. On the other hand, my D2 lowering...
  2. Strange question, but has someone been able to change how active sound control sounds like?

I didn't realize that there was active sound piped in on the non-type-Rs!! I have a 2020 Hatch Sport, how do I tell if I have it/disable it?
  3. Manual conversion

There is a madman on here who has successfully MT swapped a CVT 10th gen. @Nickthewaffler https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/cvt-destroyed-at-45k-looking-to-mt-swap.51539/ It was of course in intensive in terms of time, money, effort, and knowhow. On the bright side though, as far as I'm...
  4. CVT fluid troubles

I strongly suggest sticking to the Honda HCF-2 fluid. There has been scuttlebutt on here that it truly is the best. Anecdotally, I've been running HCF-2 exclusively with regular fluid changes and zero issues even though I kinda beat on it. Additionally, if your CVT ever fails Honda will test...
  5. KTuner v2 displaying all the RPMs for a second (Glitch?)

Howdy! A few weeks ago I updated my KTuner to whatever was most recent and since, every once in a while, the v2 will display the rpm gauge as full blast for split second. It is too fast for me to see if the numbers displayed go that high too. It doesn’t display that on the actual tachometer...
  6. FK7 Time Attack/Daily Driver and NEW Civic X Products

I was stoked for the EBC brake kit you're teasing, and I'm over the moon for this!!
  7. Help - Civic 2017 throwing 100 errors on dashboard suddenly

Can you drive it at all? I would say the battery being low voltage as that can cause numerous electrical issues on these cars, but you said thats good. Start with just disconnecting the battery for 30 min then reconnecting and seeing if that does anything. This will allow the ECU to reset and...
  8. PRL Motorsports Air / Oil Separator Product Development - Revisited

Isn't the 11th gen civic the L15 as well? I don't see how the the 1.5 could no longer be relevant. I can understand moving on and focusing on 11th gen products but its the same engine and should easily be translated to the 10th gens.
  9. Clunking, Grinding, & Squeaking

For the sake of documentation, my RMM was a tad loose. In one of my first differential diags, I grabbed the RMM and shook it, it felt solid so I ruled it out. But after 2-3 weeks of frustration I got under the car while it was on jacks, had my dad gas it in reverse then hard brake and the...
  10. CVT on its way out... is a Manual swap possible?

With that amount of metal and the size of those flakes, you are right in being concerned about the CVT. You're not the first person I've heard having CVT related issues after a collision. As for the MT swap, there is a madman on here that has successfully swapped a manual into a CVT chasis...
  11. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

  12. Whiteline rear sway bar endlinks came off

Only thing I can think of is if that is a stock link, the stiff setting on the Whiteline swaybar might be putting a lot of stress onto that link. I would try either the softer setting or getting adjustable endlinks.
  13. Clunking, Grinding, & Squeaking

Welp, installed a new axle this morning and same noise so that wasn’t it. And I was really confident too. Must be a LCA or upper-shock bushing.
  14. Driver side CV Axle

The service manual calls for the CVT fluid to be drained (p. 92 - 101 in the PDF attached). I'm actually planning on replacing my whole driverside driveshaft assembly today or tomorrow but I'm planning on doing a fluid change at the same time.
  15. Clunking, Grinding, & Squeaking

Welp, if it turns out to be the axle, I'll be replacing that and then swapping to Whiteline's lowering spring.
  16. Clunking, Grinding, & Squeaking

Interesting.... is it because it drops soo much? What springs did they swap to?
  17. Clunking, Grinding, & Squeaking

I'm lowered too on D2 springs, which lowers about 2" and I never rubbed/scrubbed. I'm at work now but I'm hoping to figure it out this weekend! I'll update if I do!!
  18. AC Concerns..

My A/C kicked the bucket at the very end of summer last year. I'm going to diag it myself with a dye leak test once it gets warm out to make sure its the condenser and nothing else because I refuse to give the dealership any more money lol
  19. Clunking, Grinding, & Squeaking

Hello all! I have a 2020 Hatchback Sport with 62,000 miles. For the last 5 days, I have had a clunk, grind, and squeak coming from what sounds like the front driver side. It started as a grind/rattle in low RPMs, such as when in reverse. It has since progressed to a slight but nearly constant...
  20. Differences between L15B7 and L15BA?

The L15BA is only in the hatchbacks, for whatever reason. I'm pretty sure the L15B7 is in all the other 10th gen Civics, not just the Si. (Someone double check me but I'm fairly confident.) I contemplate the same when I think about building my motor. Building myself vs. buying the TSP one. The...
