Kinda sounds like clutch slip. My guess is the previous owner tuned it and decided to sell when the stock clutch started slipping instead of having to pay to upgrade it. On way to test it is get up to a high gear, slow down until the rpms drop low, then hit the throttle. If it feels like the...
Actually i was able to fix it, i guess my obd port bracket somehow broke and it was causing improper connection. But now when im trying to upload the tune, i click the up arrow, a progress bar comes up and it says uploading, but when the bar finishes thats it, nothing else comes up, no warning...
Just recently bought a Ktuner v1.2 for my 18 si from phearable. I already registered, but ktuner keeps asking me to connect to the vehicle to lock ecu. When i connect it, it keeps cycling on the lower left corner from connected to disconnected and the same popup appears again. What am i doing...
Exactly, Motor Trend basically showed this car performs worse in every possible way compared to the 10th gen. Add on the missing features and higher price and i really dont see how anyone could say this gen is a better car than the 10th gen.
Ive been running it on my si for a good 10k miles. It is noticeably louder and you get all the fun turbo sounds. Performance improvement was barely there if at all as it uses the stock maf housing size. No tune required and my car runs fine.
Installed the type r shifter today. Was supposed to wait until i got some acuity upgrades for it but i got impatient. Honestly the install isnt that bad. Feels really good, especially for $50. No more crunchy shifts
My si is my daily, so i dont wanna get too crazy with it. Besides, i feel this car is the perfect daily already.
Vland headlights
Competition clutch
Ktuner with phearable 1.5 tune
Greddy intercooler
Whiteline rear sway bar with accord endlinks
Ebc brake pads and steel braided brake lines
Finally upgraded from the boring all seasons the si comes with. Yokohama Advan Apex. Huge difference instantly felt. Take corners much better and acceleration feels a bit better since it is able to launch better. Definitely recommend!
My ac finally took a crap on my 18 si last week. Car only has 24k miles. Took it into a dealer hoping it would be the condenser. Was horrified briefly when he said it was the evaporator and compressor, but i had 2 month left on my 3 year warranty so i didnt have to pay anything. Saved me $1900...
Yea but a ktuner i wouldnt mind getting be ause its a simple fix if you get caught and from what I understand cops wont state ref you for it either, you just have to flash back to stock, visit a smog check shop and pass
