I understand sometimes however your hands and the filter get oil on them and its hard to turn tight enough. With the nut you can snug it up, not necessarily crank it down.

So as far as oil filters you can't go wrong with OEM honda filters. HOWEVER please be careful that none of the plastic from the packaging winds up INSIDE the filter as you open it. I think I'm going to move over to K&N since they have that welded nut on top. I feel like I can't hand tighten...
